My TRU was packed tonight and the store looks like a tornado went through it when it is normally well organized. Only wrestling figures they have are Superstars Dolls, B75 Lana, WM34 Basic Ambrose and Bayley, Virgil, Trash Talkers and Retros, so it doesnt look like theyve gotten anything new in weeks.

My TRU looks like a bomb went off. No Mattels left other than the dolls, and today I saw a ring with goldberg gone and the package just completely destroyed ... also a two-pack that didn't even have the bubble on it (without the figures obviously), just the backing. Sad day.

I guess it’s only fitting that my last purchase at TRU was the Festival of Friendship.

Palm Beach Gardens Florida was the store Point of my post was that i think it means other stores just starting heir liquidation will be getting more stuff Not saying you are wrong, but it doesn’t make sense. Vendors pulled product from stores back rooms because TRU missed their last payment and they don’t want their product sold at liquidation prices. But they are going to let TRU distribution centers keep/ship their newer product to the stores to be liquidated out? Something is wrong somewhere. lol Keep in mind that there's probably a lot of space at the warehouses and distribution centers taken up by garbage too. I stopped by my local TRU today and they were actually stocking a new case of those Marvel Playmation video game figures. Those things will outlive cockroaches and Keith Richards. On a side note, I swear to God that people in my area can't do math. The parking lot was packed today and people were trucking out cartloads of crap at 10% off. I'm looking at this like what the hug? Where were you people when this mattered? Hell, if everyone would have been buying like this the whole time the damned store might not be going under now. I get people using up gift cards before all the good stuff is gone, and this may have been the case...but I think some of the slack-jawed mouth breathers that rolled out into public for the first time in ages saw 10% and thought it was a steal.

I witnessed this today as well and that is why I was picking up whatever was on my want list or thinking of buying before the liquidation sale began, fullprice or not.

I hit one of them up today too and the line once again was around the building. Not even that crowded on Black Friday! Wooo 10%! That’s just taxes. 😒 I almost grabbed a few items just before they disappear but I thought to myself, “If I didn’t get it at full price, 10% off isn’t that much so I don’t need it now either.” My buddy who is a manager told me that if they continue to clear out stores as much as they are at only 10%, they will keep it that way. Also, all fixtures, cases and shelves will be available as well. The only thing NOT available at all will be the giant Freddy Funko statue that some stores have displayed by the Pops. There was a sign reading that it was property of Funko and not TRU. Also, TRU isn’t even TRU anymore as they are now owned by a liquidation company.

I'll be heading to TRU on Wednesday to see if any of those $25 Once Upon a Time figures would have anything discounted on them. $25 is too steep. The last time I was at this TRU the WWE section was a joke

www.cnbc.com/2018/04/27/the-business-of-running-a-going-out-of-business-sale-is-booming.htmlCNBC explains how running a liquidation sale is a science and why discounts are still only 10-20% at Toys R Us, even after more than a month (sheer number of stores, DCs still have truckloads of merchandise, liquidators want maximum value, etc). While scavengers coming out the woodwork are found at these going out of business sales, but most of the shoppers are still the store's regular customers.

Im actually interested in buying one of those blue shopping carts, but I think it locks when its taken outside the premises
