I'd like to see how she's going to sell for a 41 year old mother of 3.

Of course people care. By SummerSlam, she'll be #1 in the Wfigs Complaint Thread rankings.

I care that for no discernible upside, the women of the women’s revolution are about to be flushed away to stroke the ego of a talentless vacuous beast.

The novelty of Ronda Rousey has definitely already started to dry up. She has no aura around her already. She should be billed as this ultimate fighting machine. Instead, she has a cheery and colourful theme with the Rowdy gimmick, wears clothes a middle aged Mum would wear, and has already shown the World what she can do in a WWE ring (which as of now, is looking more terrible by the day). They should have had her have zero physical contact which anyone leading up to Wrestlemania bar a possible one punch or kick KO to somebody. Half of the allure is to see what she can do in the Ring, it's why we want to pay for Wrestlemania, so why give it away week upon week, and also expose her bad in ring ability and devalue her credit at the same time? In UFC she was a legitimate badass. I'm not sure if it's just because they've done the same gimmick as they have with Lesnar which has led to them not doing the same with her. I don't know, but I'd have had her wearing her Reebok training gear every week on TV, along with a serious theme. What I will say though as, is that I've been surprised by how bad her mic skills are and how uncomfortable she seems to feel when being out there. She's a global Superstar, appears on national television programmes on a weekly basis, and has always been a good talker in UFC fight conferences and weigh ins, so I'm shocked that she feels nervous when cutting a promo, especially considering it's not only scripted for her but the fact she's been a long time fan and knows the drill. That's probably one of the reasons. She has always been a fan and loved it so maybe that's the jitters she has being right in the middle of it all now. Sure she has experience in the public eye, but maybe it's just the idea in her head of not screwing up in front of those she's been a fan of and admired for so long. I guess sort of like being pulled up on stage by your favorite band and being put on lead guitar. But even if that's the case she still hasn't been that bad. She's had no NXT or anything like that so she is gonna have to find her feet with her mic skills and presence week after week now.

If she had come in for a run after mania 31, while she was still on top it would have helped, but to me she lost her mystique after some losses that had her looking less than competent as a complete fighter. Then the disappearing instead of training and getting back to it better was a bad look to me. She has a lot of work to do, and should be given time, rushing her to the top won't be good for anybody.

Agreed. Had they done the deal right after the WM31 appearance, I think everyone would have benefited. But waiting 3 years?! Her stock has dropped so much and despite people saying she's bringing fans to WWE, I would love to see the proof. I wouldn't imagine anyone seriously tuning in JUST to see her past WM. This whole situation is a waste of effort and will likely do more damage than good. I have nothing against her, but it's already been driven into the ground so much that hearing her name is like nails on a chalkboard to me, and Stephanie saying it makes me throw up.

They were talking about Ronda and the WWE on ESPN during Sports Nation today. And that's not the first time her wrestling has gotten a mention on ESPN. They don't talk about Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, the New Day, or 99% of the roster. It may not be absolute proof but it's hard to deny that free coverage on ESPN helps draw eyes to the WWE.

Problem is, she doesn't have the natural charisma or personality to make anyone care. Early indications are that she's not cut out for this. Like I said before, this is not an engaging, gift-of-the-gab, personality like McGregor, Sonnen, Rampage or Bisping, they've brought in.

Aren't they just talking about it because it's sports news? The outlets need stories to discuss, and the rest of WWE isn't sports.

Think Ronda is a natural heel and that would hide some her flaws/learning curve.

I think overtime she'll evolve. She's not the worst I've seen.

I seem to recall DB being crap on the mic until he, you know, practiced. Some of you are so damn impatient. If she's crap on the mic she shouldn't be thrown into a major WM feud. She should spend some time in developmental to hone her skills. Everybody else has to do that.Everybody else isn't Ronda Rousey. Yeah, it's going to take a little time, and even though she needs work she's already improved.. I think a lot of the mic stuff is butterflies, and once she gets used to the live audience stuff she will become decent, or maybe eventually even be "good." Who knows? She's obviously a very driven person so it's likely only a matter of time before she's good in the ring. She has a big upside if things work out... people need to stop acting like she's David Arquette, Dennis Rodman, or Lawrence Taylor. edit: also, she's generally gotten a pretty positive response with the exception of her Fastlane entrance.

Yes. She needs lots of improvement and will get better with time but she’s too big of a name to stick in NXT in a year.

Hopefully the match at WrestleMania will be quick. I havent seen much to be impressed with so far, though granted its super early in her WWE career.

I think they’ve introduced her horribly. There’s something about this feud (Steph & HHH vs Ronda & Kurt) that just makes me cringe.

The best comparison I can think of is CM Punk. Didn't he have to train for 2 years before his UFC fight and then he was buried. I know UFC is real but they could have chose him a worse fighter. Dana White knew Mickey Gall would destroy Punk. Anyway a UFC fighter goes to the WWE and has a few months of training and then is thrown into a top spot at Mania. It's disrespectful to every WWE wrestler that had to go up the hard way. Some people say WWE is harder on the body than UFC. Ronda Rousey is going to turn the WWE into a joke(if it isn't one already).

Ronda Rousey in WWE looks like a lost little girl in Disney World. But of course I wont say that to her face...
