Just got Tye. Mine has wrinkly calves. Looks like they used the Heath Slater mold. Are they all like this? Will there be a running change? This is pretty amateur hour for a $20 figure.

Yeah, I also noticed that his entire mold is the same as the Heath. They must have used his template/spreadsheet when designing Tye and didn't bother to correct the calves. I don't think there's a running change and doubt there will be.

Yup unfortunately, they're all like that. Shame too, cause it's damn near perfect besides that.

wait, youre telling me they painted tights flesh colour? ...well...ok :l I know they did that with dm macho too,
I wish we could get an insight into the process involved making the elite action figures, and gain a better understanding/ appreciation; the parts are there, it's just confusing when they're not used?

It really is a lack of attention to detail, period. I don't care if they use a spreadsheet to start the design process but there has to be somebody there to make tweaks afterwords and maybe somebody with a working set of eyeballs to put the brakes on before things like that get produced. When I saw it at Walmart earlier this week I ended up passing on the figure because of this eye sore, despite being a fan of his. Part of me wants to just buy it, swap calves and paint the black part. Part of me is just really sick of having to fix stuff like that so I don't know if I'll bother. But who's to say if he'll ever get another elite, and if he does, that they don't just pump him out using that same spreadsheet:/

It’s not just the calves, the thighs have creases too.
It’s a shame really, they really couldn’t model it after someone that wears trunks? I don’t get it.

I was thinking of making a post about this. I love the figure; but if you open a fig and the first time you hold it in your hand you notice a glaring flaw, it is really disappointing that something so obvious went unnoticed.

The upper part of the body is the exact same. They could've easily just used the whole Punk body and changed the calves to the boots fit. It looks terrible. It just blows my mind that they would do that on a $20 figure. We can put money into those stupid art stands, but we can't get a figure that doesn't have tights legs molded as bare legs?

The DM Macho Man wasn’t an issue though because he wore those leg sleeves/wraps so it actulooked good on him. But the Ted Dibiase jr figures they also used tights molds on because his upped thighs had wrinkles.

Somebody post a pic so I can see what you're talking about. Ugh, Tye does have skin colored tights on. Horsemen 4-pack Ric Flair has ball jointed legs that you can use to fix-up Tye. Waste of parts to repair a lazy oversight, though.

Are his legs cast in flesh tone or is it like Neville where they cast it in black and paint it flesh?

I just got my Tye figure yesterday from Amazon, and man, I can’t unsee those creases. The creases on the calves especially stick out to my eyes. I know it’s not accurate, but I’m thinking of painting his calves black.

Well, this is a silly mistake by the designers.
