For those interested, here's how the upcoming blue Honky jumpsuit from Mattel compares to the blue Jakks jumpsuit on the red Mattel Honky. Some differences: - Mattel suit is darker. Jakks is lighter. - Jakks jumpsuit uses more colored notes. Some are yellow compared to Mattel being all red. - More collar lines on the Jakks version. Red notes on the collar with Mattel. - Mattel uses silver lines, Jakks uses white. - the back image seems a bit different between the versions. - Jakks version has white dot designs throughout the jumpsuit. Any other difference you all notice? Close up of the back of the Jakks version Jakks jumpsuit on Mattel Honky with he IC belt

I'll wait for the final product, but I think Jakks wins as of now, with the "Memphis" being a little more prominent. I really wish Mattel would add the "belt" piece on Honky's jumpsuit. It would definitely knock it out of the park. But I suppose adding the IC belt will suffice.

Jakks made one heck of a jumpsuit "way back when."

Looks like Mattel's has a bit more detail. Especially with the red music notes.

Looks like Matte's has a bit more detail. Especially with the red music notes. Looks like the opposite to me.

They both did a real good job on this Honky Tonk Man. I will be picking this one up since I missed out on the first Elite Honky in the red jumpsuit. I hope we get one more Elite Honky Tonk Man, this time in his blue/green suit, along with Greg Valentine during his Rhythm and Blues run.

When Jakks was king. That was "where the big boys play."

I personally like Mattel’s version better. I like the light blue color with less music notes and making them multiple colors.

Savage Shawn Michaels Honky tonk man Kind of disappointed that he is coming in the Retro Fest packaging, as a MOC collector the Retro Fest package will cover a lot of the figure which will cover a lot of the jumpsuit. And that jumpsuit needs to be seen.

Mattel figure with Jakks jumpsuit = best option. To me, when I put Jakks clothes on a Mattel it looks like a little boy wearing dad's clothes, especially in the arms. Personally, I can't stomach that.

And that jumpsuit needs to be seen.If you're a MOC collector then you frequently deal with this problem. What if a figure comes wearing entrance gear but has cool ring attire beneath? You'll never get to see it. It's something you must accept if you choose to be a MOC collector. Of course having a window pane in the back (like DM figures) would help with this particular figure, but if this bothers you then I assume being a MOC collector must be bothersome quite often because you value the box over the figure's intentional dynamic design (it is designed to move, not stay fixed; it is often designed with logos on the front and back; it is designed often with a layer [or layers] of accessories). If you choose to limit your access to your product by keeping it in the box, then that's what happens. It's no biggie! But it's your choice. I mean, if someone is complaining about the box, then the obvious solution to open it up and throw the box away. Then you can see the jumpsuit from any angle! Easy for me to say, though. :-)
