“My father called me to congratulate me on my deal that I had re-signed and I said ‘What are you talking about?’ It’s fun to have Internet rumors out there, but even if and when I do re-sign I won’t be like ‘Hey everybody, here’s the details of this contract’. There’s a short amount of time left on this contract, we’re negotiating and we’ll see what happens.”

He'll re-sign.
He doesn't care that he is 10 feet under. He makes millions to show up and lose.

It is highly unlikely that Ziggler is making millions. $1.4 million and PPV bonuses. That was the amount of the reported (and now, according to Ziggler, bogus) contract. There's a single report indicating he was making $1 million downside per year on his previous/current deal, but that's been confirmed by no one. Most of the figures that get reported (for everyone, not just Ziggler) are just total guess work.

Well that's nuts.
I personally think if he leaves he's going to do acting/comedy/entertainment and he's probably largely done wrestling. So for that, I hope he re-signs. Plus, it's one of those you can't get asked to take the winning shot if you're not even on the bench kind of deals. I don't think he's ever going to get the chance to be more than what he's already been with WWE, but he's also about to be 38. So that Cody Rhodes option isn't really there for him. Collecting a nice paycheck while focusing on outside projects isn't the worst idea ever. As a big fan of the guy I just wish there was more opportunity for him in WWE at this point.

I feel like this topic of conversation in regards of Dolph Ziggler's WWE contract comes up like every 3 months and it's always the same...
"Dolph is thinking about leaving the WWE, because Dolph said so."
Mean while, Dolph always re-signs with the WWE, even though he says he hates how he is mistreated and misused.

I think talk of Dolph leaving is like saying Impact Wrestling is closing down any day now at this point.

If I had a dollar every time we heard about Dolph's contract, I'd be making more than reports said Dolph was gonna make.

He has t-shirts, action figures, is in a video game every year, is on pretty much every WWE PPV, has won many championships and has main evented shows before. I’m fairly certain the guy is a millionaire. Edit: in 2014 he was on $540,000 so to make that a year, every year, he is most likely into the millions.

I’m fairly certain the guy is a millionaire or has at least earned over a million dollars. Of course he's a millionaire by now. The only point I was making was that a $1 million downside per year for someone at his level seems like a stretch, given what we know about the generalities of WWE contracts. But, regardless, exact figures are never made public and are nothing other than speculation.

Yeah but I made an edit shortly after you made this post and according to an article, he was earning around $540,000 in 2014 so if his contract is currently similar to that then earning half a million to be in the midcard of WWE isn’t bad at all and he probably wouldn’t make that money with the options he would have if he left.
