I still hate looking at that retro W logo.
I wonder if they will make a modern styled ring for the retro figures.

I don't like the fake logo either. I wish they could come out with alternate versions for the big 4 PPVs, New Gen Raw, Attitude Raw etc.

I agree about the W logo, I would rather have the WWF logo since pretty much around the time the WWF went to WWE I stopped watching wrestling for a while. I doubt that they will release a ring, retro or otherwise, with a WWF logo. However, there is someone on eBay selling classic custom ring ropes and stickers from the Hasbro ring and they look pretty good. That may be your best bet to get a WWF logo for your Mattel retro ring.

The one meant for the Hasbro ring would be too large though and you'd have the crease from the outline under the sticker. Perhaps he'll start making decals for the retro ring at some point.

Ah, didn't realize they were different sizes. Hopefully he or someone will make some to fit the retro ring.

Its outlined. The whole W sticker fits in the outline. The Hasbro ring had a little extra space... I was slightly off, once you put that sticker down, that's it. You can not lift it back up and replace it. i was off with the sticker too haha. and i had it lined up on a side perfectly and i was like "a perfect fit" then i keep going and the other end spills over and out of the outline and i was like noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!"

Is the Amazon ring release still scheduled for June? Just checked, I did pre-order one there, it still says June delivery, however it's no longer searchable or available to preorder. But, they haven't cancelled my order yet, so who knows.

Does anyone have any pics of this inside a Detolf cabinet? I am guessing you will need to remove the steps in order for it to fit?

I got mine today, but I haven't opened the box yet. Seeing as how my Retros are currently in a display case, I don't know what I'm going to do with the ring itself. I would display it on my desk if it weren't for a certain cat around the house who likes to chew on ring ropes lol. I'd love to set mine up in a case like the one shown at Axxess. If I get the chance, I'll post some pics of mine to the board this week. Here are some pics of my ring after I finally opened it the other day. I'm definitely gonna hold on to the box like I have my UK Hasbro ring for the past 12-13 years. I don't know how or if I'll display it soon, but I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Lining up the sticker felt like playing Operation. It was a close call on all sides but somehow I managed to get it right on my one try. It still has one or two small air bubbles trapped underneath but it's nothing that I can't overlook. I feel very fortunate since I'm usually terrible with stickers on my rings (I'm looking at you, Monster Ring). I didn't think I would, but I love the attachment pieces. They are easy to snap on and off, and they blend in so well with the ring base. This was the real home run for me when it comes to Mattel trying their hand at the old Hasbro-style ring. In some ways I think they even surpassed it. I know it may be sacrilegious to say, but I actually kind of prefer the ring posts with the molded turnbuckles since it makes for an easier, quicker build. This, to me, is the perfect get-up-and-go ring. Since my collection of Retros is currently in a display case, I reached for the closest thing I had available to me for a size comparison. Here's a look at my Retros collection at the moment. I have mine displayed on the top shelf of a curio cabinet I got from Costco several years back. I have this forum to thank for recommending me the 10" Copco non-skid spice racks. I got mine from Bed Bath & Beyond around the same time, but I think I might change them out soon for clear stands. I can't wait for the next two sets of Retros to arrive next month from my Ringside pre-order. Maybe then I'll have an excuse to display them all with the ring. I'll have to run it by the cat first, but I like my chances.

I do really like the turnbuckles and post as one piece along with now having the connectors that were missing from the original Hasbro ring. And the elastic bands are one of the greatest creations ever for modern rings lol. Tying those rope knots and trying to not have it look like crap always drove me nuts lol.

Nice photos! Can't wait for the rings to hit retail and the next waves to ship! Seems like such a huge dead space since S2. Got a decent smount of legends at the start and now were down to getting 2 or 3 figs a year I'm interested in at this point

Can't wait for the new ring. I'm on the fence about ordering the next wave of figures since apparently they are much easier to get and cheaper via retail. Hell, even RSC significantly dropped their price of previous series.
My biggest wish is that these series or waves be staggered to every 3 or 4 months.

I just preordered the ones I wanted, just Macho and Flair 2 each. That way I won't need to deal with the headache trying to get them at retail. S3 is very easy to find at Target, but that's probably going to be the problem I would guess for future waves. Everyone that wanted S3 got them, and the dozen or so at each store seem to not be moving, at least around me. Don't know how low they need to be on stock for another shipment (new waves) to start showing up.
The ring I can wait on, assuming Target carries it. As there isn't an older version of it sitting on the shelves to prevent them from getting stock.

Amazon has shipped my Retro rings. If you pre ordered at $20.99 that's the price you pay not the current $46.99 price tag which is insane.

Actually the ones in stock at Amazon are being sold by RSC. Hopeing Amazon did get enough themselves to cover all preorders. I did use the super saving, whenever Amazon feels like shipping it method, so could be a few days yet for mine to ship.
