Usually when a line is cross referenced the way the flashback series is, they wont put them on clearance if another wave is gonna be coming. They only mark it down when the store is no longer going to carry it. My best friend is the department manager. She told me it was a corporate markdown. (meaning it isn't isolated to just this store) Does your uncle work at Nintendo and let you play all the new games before they get released?

Not sure what that has to do with anything. Troll elsewhere, please.

The WalMarts near me marked them down to $11 but it was only 1 or 2 at each store and they sold within a day of the markdown.

We're safe guys. George that works at my Walmart assured me. I trust him. He also lives at a Holiday Inn Express. All hail George from Walmart! haha

As store exclusives flashbacks seem to sell, but in the regular elite line they don't appear to do very well. Most end up under $10 on Amazon. Haha

Remember the panic around Xmas when there was panic? The Department of Redundancy Department likes this. The issue I had with the Walmart’s in my area was that none of them restocked for the holiday. The only WWE items on the shelves were Zombies and maybe an Earthquake. Nobody knew why they were out of the game during, oh I don’t know...Christmas.

So did they sell well because they were popular or because people wanted to sell them on ebay?

I think they sold pretty well. I'm the Philly area I haven't seen a single figure in months, I don't ever recall seeing a Mean Gene. Walmart redoes their toy section every other month (it's every few months) but it feels like every other month. Compared to savage and the disasters, this flashback series has flew off shelves.

I think they sold well. The figures were gone from all the stores around me within a couple days and haven't been restocked. I don't see the argument for people buying these to resell. Maybe initially they sold for a premium, but checking completed sales I'm seeing a lot of figures going for $20-25. Retail price is $18, so once you factor in tax, shipping, and fees at best you're making a buck or two, or even losing money. Maybe people are getting an employee discount or something to knock a dollar or two off, but I don't think resellers are having that big of an impact.
After TNF backed up, maybe they figured out it's easier to move product if they give them separate item numbers and clearance back stock before bringing in the new items. Clearancing old stock before getting new is common in most other departments, so I've never really understood why toys are allowed to rot for months or even years without being marked down.

It's Walmart. Distribution will always be trash with them. Some will get an insane amount to the point they clearance them others may literally never get any.

Tom Smykowski: Well, all right. It was a "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You see, it would be this mat that you would put on the floor, and it would have different conclusions written on it that you could jump to. I love that you made this reference. Bravo. 😂😂

They haven't even hit Canada, Mattel said summer 2018. Hoping that means we get series 2 as I already have series 1.
