It's far less expenditure for WWE compared with his last deal, so maybe some of those savings can go towards the return of pyro!

It's far less expenditure for WWE compared with his last deal, so maybe some of those savings can go towards the return of pyro! The elimination of pyro came as part of a large series of cutbacks to appear more profitable for their upcoming TV rights deal, so I don't think a single talent contract is going to have any impact on that budget.

I wonder if Triple H would pay him that much to keep him around.

IMO Brock is a waste of money. He turns up every few months and puts on half assed matches that only last a few minutes.
Then again fair play to him because if Vince is foolish enough to pay him so much then he's the one laughing all the way to the bank. The WWE has a roster full of fantastic talent so Brock is not needed. I honestly don't understand why Vince thinks that people want to see some guy who wrestles 5 minute matches and does nothing but suplexes.
Brock Lesnar is no AJ Styles.

Brock brings in more money than most other guys, this deal makes sense.

The money part doesn’t bother me. He deserves what he thinks he deserves, but it all comes down to what WWE is willing to pay him.

As much as I hate Lesnar, his matches and his overall disregard for the business, even I see why WWE pays him. He does what WWE wants. He gets people to maybe tune in that wouldn’t normally be watching. And gets people to buy PPV that may not even be WWE fans. That’s always been WWE’s #1 game.

Nobody on here will ever convince me he's a big draw, nowadays.

What exactly does Brock do that makes him a draw? I for one wouldn't buy a ticket just to see him perform a 3 minute match.

This is where he should be at work every week. Collecting more and more checks.

The dwindling ratings prove that having Brock around isn’t the answer.
I already said in a previous post that it’s good for Brock for getting a great deal. If I were the WWE I’d let Brock go back to the UFC. A guy in his 40s isn’t very likely to be successful in professional MMA, especially one with a HUGE glass jaw. If Brock succeeds, great for him. If he doesn’t, then the WWE has more leverage when Brock comes back to the table.

Nobody on here will ever convince me he's a big draw, nowadays. He is a big draw...for the UFC. But he's not bringing ratings or turning business around for the WWE. His figures also warm shelves hard because theyve made too many of him and he's never on TV.

IMO the ratings that people keep bringing up is such a dead concept. If they were as important now as they were in the 90's, WWE wouldn't upload highlights on WWE.com or YouTube minutes after they happen. You don't have to watch the show anymore to keep up to date. I've talked to several people who refuse to pay for cable but still use YouTube to keep an eye on the product.
So while I don't necessarily think we need Brock around, I wouldn't use the ratings as the deterrent.

I used to like Brock Lesnar from 2002 till 2004 and then when he came back and had good matches with John Cena, Triple H, CM Punk, & Undertaker to name a few but when he introduced the "Suplex City" bullcrap and did it in every match became boring and stale. It was cool for a hot minute but it's stale. His in ring work has become stale something I get excited for. His recent matches are pretty much a ing house show match with a suplex here and there and an F5 once or twice. The Triple Threat he had with Cena & Rollins was awesome and the match with Reigns at WrestleMania Play (31) was stiff but that matches he had with Ambrose, Joe, & Strowman were pretty bad and felt like a ing house show match and honestly he mad his opponents look like pure crap. With the UFC talk what happens if he tested positive again, that's gotta make Vince McMahon rethink his decision on resigning him to a new deal. I personally think Brock Lesnar should be tested in WWE, I know he is a part timer but enough of this part time bullcrap. I respect Chris Jericho cause he maybe a part timer but he comes and does house shows and is there every week back two years ago until Payback of last year. The ratings are crap because the booking is terrible and the way some of this guys & gals are booked is somewhat terrible to, Raw needs a "World Champion" there every ing week, Brock being champion isn't helping it either.
