I put the Basic 10 head on the DM figure and that's been my place holder until we get a 99-01 hHh, which is his most iconic look by a mile. This has turned into a troll job we've been complaining about not having that look for so long.

BadGirlRyleigh No clue. He said it in a Q&A last year I think. SDCC or RSF maybe. 8 years and tons of modern looks that all look the same, but not his first title run...

Funny thing is this isn't some guy on the outs with the company, or a personal preference for blue tights over red. It's the current COO of the company, in his most iconic look, during the hottest period for wrestling ever.
It doesn't...make...sense.

Another example of that is Randy Orton - we've had countless modern Orton Elites in boring black trunks and when they finally get around to making a Legend Killer flashback after 7 YEARS do they go with Armageddon 2003, Backlash 2004 or SummerSlam 2004 like what 99% of people want? Nope, they give him black trunks AGAIN. Also Hogan... Who's genius idea was it to make an American Made and Modern Hogan over Hollywood Hogan? They should've made Hulkamania and Hollywood first then worried about all the other miscellaneous attires.

Mattel has the WWE line through at least 2020, and I'm sure they are hoping to renew the license beyond that with how successful the line has been. They want to stretch out the high demand figures - 2000 HHH, Goldberg, ABA Taker, etc. And if you look at the figures they've released, it really is a who's who of wrestling's main eventers from the last 30 years in their most iconic attires with only a few big names missing. They're trying to milk those last few big figures for all they're worth with premium lines, rings, etc. As a collector, I hate that strategy. And I'm not sold on it making great business sense either. I couldn't see Marvel Legends holding back the iconic comic version of Thor or Star Wars Black waiting years to produce a Darth Vader. But it doesn't look like they're backing off this approach any time soon.

Would love an Ep Mo or Def Mo set with Foley from either RR ‘00 or No Way Out ‘00... hHh with ‘Game over?’ Shirt, belt, water bottle. Foley with cloth plaid shirt and flaming barb-wire 2/4... making good use of that new flame tooling they’ve done on the Kingslayer Seth accessory. Merch. Ducketts. Power.

They need to learn from that and puno out the big time stuff.

They’re not going anywhere and will not do anything to jeopardize their status with the company. Guys like Hogan and Foley always have an on again off again relationship with Vince and WWE. Even if Hogan didn’t get caught on tape making racial slurs, who’s to say he wouldn’t have gotten pissed off over a payday or something and walk out? There are certain guys that you need to pump out as many figures as possible while you have them under contract. That’s why the most baffling thing is why they haven’t made any Team Extreme Attitude Era Hardyz yet. Jeff has two strikes and is one relapse away from being gone forever.

Especially when you consider that Hogan figures are like printing money. As you said, I can see it with Goldberg. I'll simply wait it out and whenever a WCW figures comes out I'll be a happy camper. But you could probably release the same red/yellow Hulk with a different head sculpt and tshirt ten times over and it would still sell. Not getting Hollywood is such a glaring omission that could have been avoided.

The fact that we still haven’t received a hHh Elite baffles me. Or the fact we haven’t seen a good 2000-2001 HHH since Jakks WWF Famous Scenes: They did try it again with a WWE Shop exclusive but used the wrong scan and the logo on the trunks was upside down lol I really don’t want to sound negative but I think when an Elite of 2000-2001 HHH is finally made it’ll be disappointing because most overdue figures tend to not meet expectations (e.g. Elite WMXIX Jericho) I hope I’m wrong though.

I'm loving the Fan Central right now, but would swap it out in a heartbeat for this guy: We are ALL clamoring for that Trips. Hopefully we see an elite one at Comic con along with Hollywood finally.
