The back is just a little beat up, I'd say. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not but...I laughed WAY harder than I should have.

Woah that back is rough! It’s seen more rough times than Dusty! I can literally hear Big Show’s “imitation” of Dusty This made me laugh. I love when I see a clip of Big Show doing his Dusty impression because it reminds of a friend of mine.

3 years ago i found at Sears, hasbro two packs of the Rockers ! Man, judging from how bad those warmed the pegs back in the day, if you would have told me in 1990 that they were still on a shelf in 2015, I would not have been the least bit surprised.

Was it that bad? Back in 1990, I actually wanted those Hasbro Rockers for Christmas and asked my parents to buy it for me.

I have already decided that f something that old shows up at TRU that I'm buying it so it can finally have a forever home. Senior Figures need love too and are far less likely to be adopted.

Sometimes employees will find them. I saw a cart sitting in the toy section today with a WM Orton and 54 Bray. Are these supposed to be old?

Ive been to two walmarts near me over the past two days and both had older stuff that wasnt there earlier in the week. At one an elite 35? Rock...the one with the guitar. The other had the wrestlemania 2 pack with Andre and Dibiase. Like I said...not there a few days earlier. Old returns? Both rang up at over 50% off despite not beinf clearance tagged.

A flashback figure of his 2003 run.

Not really, there were just more of the Rockers and Bushwhackers than the other teams because they were with the company longer. Which is why you can find way more Bushwhackers and Rockers than any other team. They came out with Series 2 (1991), along with Demolition, and hung around till series 4 or 5 (1993/94). Demolition figures weren't around quite as long, they were pretty much gone by 1992/93. LOD and Nasty Boys also didn't stick around long because when their figures were finally released both teams were no longer with the company, so they didn't have a large run. I actually never saw the Nasty Boys or Legion of Doom in stores.

Derailing a little, but you could find the Rockers at least up to, and a little past, the end of the Hasbro series around here (which felt like an eternity to a kid, I'll admit). Same with the Royal Rumble ring mini figure packs. I never saw the Nasty Boys in stores even once; LOD were sort of middle of the road between rare and common, but were easy to find once the foreign cards started showing up at Kay Bee. I'm starting to wonder if distribution issues made certain figures common in parts of the country and rare in other parts, because Hasbro Rick Rude might as well have not existed here (WV), and I definitely looked. I only found it on vacation near Charlotte, NC. I never hear it referred to as any sort of a rare figure, though. I didn't get into collecting until Hasbro wave 1, but I picked up LJNs of Mean Gene, Adrian Adonis, and Freddie Blassie since I saw them from time to time. I don't know what the shelf warmers were for LJNs, but I'm willing to bet those were somewhere on the list.

I don't know what the shelf warmers were for LJNs, but I'm willing to bet those were somewhere on the list. Yeah, the Rockers and Bushwhackers were easy to find. As for Rude, I wonder if him quitting the company in late 1990 had something to do with his being harder to find than any of the other series 1 figures. I believe by series 2 (1991) all references to his figure on the backs of cards were replaced by honky tonk man's silhouetted figure. So probably after the initial runs of series 1 in 1990 they stopped producing Rick Rude figures since he was no longer with the company. As for other series 2 figures, Jake, Brutus, Andre, Akeem, Big Boss Man, their figure silhouettes show up on the back of series 2 figures cards. Its possible that he was not produced as much as the other series 1 figures. Plus series 1 Jake, Brutus, and Big Boss Man were also a part of the Summer Slam series with all of the series 2 figures. That's probably why there are a ton of those figures.
