It's being reported that WWE will return to Saudi Arabia in November this year. This time the show will be held in their capital, Riyadh.
I'm kinda excited about another big event. Maybe this time they can do the Greatest King of the Ring. 16 man tournament with big stars, along with some Champion versus Champion matches, a small battle royal, a big CW ladder match, and maybe include the women this time around if they keep their changes going in the right direction. This time so we don't get disappointed when they are no title changes.

King of the Ring won't happen, because the royal family there doesn't like other people being called King. And since the Saudi Sports Authority actually issued an apology over the video package that showed some women in it, I really doubt you'd see any of the ladies on that next card either.

I’ll skip it probably. THis one was mediocre at best and I really thought between being in a foreign country and it being a PPV alike event, it would have been ALOT better.

You know, after knowing the fact the the women wouldn't be performing (despite most of their matches outshining men's matches, but, whatever) in Saudi Arabia there were a couple of facts that got my attention: 1. There were some women among the attendees, a very, very low amount that I noted via the wwe network, but still. 2. Based on the amount of girls there (very little, I most point out again) I was very surprised because of the very big ovation received by Jeff Hardy when he took his shirt off...

Women were able to attend if they were accompanied by their husbands

I thought outrage by Saudi Arabia over the fact that WWE showed a video package that contained women, might have been enough for them to cancel WWE's return in November. The fact that they had apologise for showing women, proves that they'll never be willing to accept women's wrestling, if they can't even handle it being shown in a video package. So despite Triple H trying to assure us that "we can't change anything by not being there", I don't think going there is actually making any difference at all. They'll still be an embarrassingly backwards country with disgustingly low standards.

I feel bad for the wrestlers having to travel there, lol. I always think back to the RVD shoot where he openly declined going to tribute to the troops so I'm sure there are a lot of guys dreading the trip.

Not sure how I feel about this being a semi regular thing. I hope it helps change some things over there, but I doubt it will.

I just looked it up and he said because he hated to travel. He took a job where all you do is travel. I’m sure some it isn’t on the top of some guys lists of things to do, but it is their job and I’m sure they get paid pretty good Forbes over seas trips

I think the reason we had such a lackluster WM this year is because we got the GRR a few weeks after it (not saying that the GRR was great, but the matches seemed to be booked and promoted as “bigger” than WM).
Does this mean that we’ll have lackluster PPVs come November since they’ll want to put on another big show there? Personally I think it’s disgusting that they’re working with that backwards country, and also fear that these events will diminish the normal PPVs that will take place around the same time.

You can make the argument "well that's their job" for any line of work that has inconvenient aspects, but it doesn't make them any less of a bitch.

If this is being deemed a success, why wouldn’t they try a network at Wembley or go somewhere like Australia? Seems like those would generate more money and make as exciting as a wrestlemania.

I think one day they will have women’s matches there but they’ll probably have to wear body suit attires like Sasha and Alexa did in Abu Dahbi.

Money talks I guess. It’s a women’s revolution - unless the money is worth it, then we will leave them at home. Let me be clear, I could care less either way - but I hate the hypocricy of it.

Hopefully this isn't on the network. They'd be better off keeping it a non televised show, no title changes, no womens matches, nearly inconsequential in the end.

WWE: "Women's Evolution! Women's empowerment! LGBTQ rights are important! Equality for everyone!.....unless the people giving us money say otherwise! We apologize to the people of Saudi Arabi for showing them a video package that contained Becky Lynch's elbows.....it won't happen again!
