Jacobs narrowly wins the Republican Primary (which likely will lead to his mayoral election later this year)

Good for him. I hope he wins. He seems to really care about his home county.

I was just asking a buddy the other day if the election happened yet. I was genuinely curious. Thanks for the update!

Good for him. He seems like a very smart man, so I expect him to do well if he wins.

Jacobs won by 17 votes. Theres still 40 other votes to count ( cant remember what they called them) but they said it likely wont effect the outcome as most of those votes are people who arent properly registered.
The democrate candidate is kinda "lost" so i really dont see her standing a chance.
I did hear on the radio that the mayor wasnt allowed to have a 2nd source of income while in office. Makes me wonder if we've seen the last of Kane merchandise & figures for awhile or if there is a way around that. Ill have to look more into it.

He doesn't mean he can't wrestle if he's Mayor, he's just questioning if we could still see Kane in new Video Games, new Action Figures, and any other sort of merchandise you could think of.

He was elected in 1986 of Carmel County. "During Eastwood's two-year tenure, he still managed to direct and produce Heartbreak Ridge (in which he also starred) and Bird, for which he received one of his first major awards for filmmaking, a Golden Globefor Best Director."

Yea Ill need to do more research. It could just be a local thing too. They were talking/asking about if he needed to sell his insurance agency because of his pending mayoral election and someone said it was in his wife's name. That's when it was brought up about retiring and him not being able to "collect a check" while in office. I knew he said he would retire but it made me wonder about merchandise/Legends deals.

I know it seems like a real long shot at this point but man I was hoping they gave Kane one more World Title run. Guy deserves it.

I’m very pleased for Glenn the individual because he has made it clear it’s something he has always personally wanted to do and it’’s not just come post career half baked fantasy to pass the time or maintain celebrity status.
On the other hand though, it’s a sad time because it means after 20+ years, his in ring career and the Kane character is officially retired and. It did to ailments, a lack of passion or other. The man well and truly deserves that big send off but Kane has always been known to the be that big humble, modest guy that would always prefer to just step away quietly when he deserves so much more.

I'm happy for Kane but this does kinda bum me out a little because if he wins he's gonna retire and Kane was my favorite as a kid and I still love him but I hope he does win.

I sat and talked to Glenn at the Toyota dealership on Parkside Drive, about two weeks ago. He seemed pretty optimistic about his chance at becoming Mayor, I am happy to see everything worked out for him. He continued to ask for my vote, but sadly I do not live in the voting coordinates of Knoxville. With him grabbing the Republican nominee, then he most likely just grabbed the Mayoral chair. Linda Haney (D) doesn't stand a chance in Knox county. For kicks and giggles, Glenn drives a white Toyota Camry (haha). Also, I am almost certain that while Bill Haslam served as Mayor that he was partial owner of the Smokies Baseball team, and still had a shoe in at Pilot Flying J.
