He has no mic skills and his ring work is debatable. He's not needed and brings nothing to the show. What I don't get is the WWE is oozing with talent so why bring back some guy after 10 years who doesn't draw a dime? The thing is, we don't exactly know WWE's intent with bringing back Lashley. Will he just be someone to feed to Lesnar/Reigns/Strowman? Or are they looking at him as a possible replacement to Lesnar as a legitimate combat competitor outside of WWE? I can picture him become a "jobber to the stars" (especially because we know WWE's history with Black stars like Mark Henry, and Booker T most notably who were decent names but never won anything beyond a WHC when the WWE title mattered more), kind of like Kahli, Big Show, Kane, etc. have been - intimidating and impressive-looking guys who lose to mid/topcarders each week, with an annual "we gotta make this guy look legit so let's turn them heal and give them a PPV win"... I'm think you know what I'm getting at here. Since Lashley is still new to coming back, they want to make him look good and protect him until they figure out what they wanna do with him - which I bet will be to turn him heel and throw to Reigns. P.S. He's not bad on the mic, he's just soft spoken. Not everyone needs to be a loudmouth pie-eater on the mic like Dwayne.be a lot cooler if they did

I think they shouldn’t keep the Shield together, but I also think they shouldn’t turn on each other....let them be singles stars, and if they have a common enemy, they can unite, then go their separate ways again after.

Rollins, Braun and Ambrose should be the faces of Raw based on how over they are.
I’ve always felt that Dean was the best overall talent of the three Shield guys, but Seth has made huge strides on the mic over the past year. He’s easily the most over guy on Raw (next to Braun) and IMO has earned a chance to be the top guy again, but this time as a face. Sadly anyone on Raw continue to be placed under the “Brock/Roman” ceiling (including Braun).

They really seem to be keeping him on the front burner. Ever since he brought back the Blackout, he seems like a new man. Reinvigorated and booked great. I'd like it if Ambrose returns as a heel by attacking Rollins. When Roman confronts Dean the following week, Dean lays out all the evil s**t Seth did to them during their split. After several weeks, Roman eventually sides with Dean. So you'd have Dean & Roman as the two top heels (something RAW desperately needs) and Rollins & Strowman as the two top faces. Throw Balor, Owens, Zayn and a few others into the mix and you'd have yourself a fresh main event scene for the next year. I'm so glad you referenced the Blackout too. Not that they will or anything. Do you think they could remind the audience of everything Rollins did as a heel and still keep him face?

But once they split and Ambrose phoned it in during his championship reign he dropped way below Roman in my eyes. I wanted to like him but his ring work just digressed every week. He was just going through the motions. As for Seth I wish he would cut back on the amount of suicide dives he does in a match as it has been becoming redundant and overkill. But Seth is still heads and shoulders ahead of Roman and Ambrose.

But Seth is still heads and shoulders ahead of Roman and Ambrose. Dean’s never been flashy in the ring, but he’s always been the best story teller IMO. I think he has mastered getting fans in the palm of his hand and can control a crowd when needed (his Roadblock match with HHH showed this with a tough Toronto crowd that was 50/50 to start but was 100% Ambrose by the end). I don’t think it’s fair to say that he phoned it in during his WWE Title reign when he was immediately put in the #2 SDL feud with Dolph Ziggler of all people following the brand split. Ziggler has been dead weight for years, while Cena and AJ were clearly positioned as the top feud on the show. Despite this, Dean managed to put on a series of great matches with Rollins and AJ, and also had that great Shield Triple-Threat.. Rollins has always been the workhorse of the three, but I felt his in-ring weakness was crafting a story that fans got sucked into. He use to basically be a spot-monkey but over the years has improved a lot (his match with Balor last week shows this). Mic skills is where he’s made his biggest jump IMO. He use to come off as so forced and cringey, but since his feud with HHH last year he seems to have become more comfortable when speaking.

Sort of like he was thinking “ok first we will do this then I will do that” I just felt like the intensity was gone.

I'm so glad you referenced the Blackout too. Not that they will or anything. Do you think they could remind the audience of everything Rollins did as a heel and still keep him face? Well they didn't call it Blackout when he turned. It was just Curb Stomp. It was the Blackout in NXT and he was most definitely a face there.

Rollins is better as a face than a heel. When he was a heel he was still doing baby face moves and getting cheered for it.
Dean is a natural heel.
Roman is...Roman.

No I mean like is it a good idea to have them talking about everything he does when he was a heel -- turning on the Shield and everything after that -- and still have the audience support him?

Rollins is on fire at the moment. He's been getting the big push for a while now though - he beat Cena and Reigns clean on the same night in February.

No. That’s what they’d like us to believe. The reality is that with the hard on that they have for Brock right now, there’s nothing else for a guy like Rollins. He’s a work horse so they put him in mains on Raw to steal shows, but the reality is if they were hitching their cart on him for the future after Brock, he’d be doing a lot more. He’s basically just the filler guy that keeps people happy between Brocks matches.
