It was reported that it was pushed back because there would be too much competition in the month it was originally scheduled for release.
It sucks, but seems to happen with every film I'm interested in. So pushing a film back to prevent being lost in the competition is nothing new.
I'll say that I personally am very excited about this film. I seem to be the only one here.

Yeah I think Paige is genuinely nuts. That's her back posting every single day about her new bf just like she did with del rio. And just like she did before del rio. I think she's unstable. Or you know, she's twenty something.

Excellent cast, hilarious writer/director and a subject matter of professional wrestling. Excited

It was reported that it was pushed back because there would be too much competition in the month it was originally scheduled for release. Honestly, I think they sent it there to die. It was supposed to come out in September. Here's a list of the major films being released in September of 2018: The Nun Peppermint The Predator White Boy Rick Johnny English Strikes Again The House with a Clock in Its Walls A Simple Favor Life Itself Colette Night School Smallfoot Boy Erased Serenity The Sound Now, here's a list of the major films being released in March of 2019: The Kid Who Would Be King How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World Chaos Walking Fighting with My FamilyCaptain Marvel Wonder Park Untitled Jordan Peele film Godzilla: King of the Monsters Dumbo Captive State Untitled Babak Anvari project I'd rather release my movie in the month where the competition is an animated movie about a Bigfoot with small feet, a James Bond knock off sequel, a Conjuring spinoff, a Kevin Hart comedy, and a Predator reboot versus the month where my competition is an MCU movie, a live-action Disney flick, a HTTYD sequel, a Godzilla sequel, and a Jordan Peele movie. As a fan of movies, I want it to be good. I never hope for bad movies. But, this is something nobody asked for, and it's kind of obvious that the studio has little faith in it.
