Yeah but "thoughts?" is an odd way to go about it. Either way I'm not surprised people left early. huh> Would it be better if he wrote: "What are your thoughts on this article? I really value your opinion and the time you'll take to reply to my thread." Would that be better? Can you help me to understand why "thoughts" is odd to you? There’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s odd to me because it is posted on a message board where the whole point is to have discussions so to put “Thoughts” or “Opinions” just seems like a big of overkill.

I don't think the problem was entirely Roman being in the main event that was the issue. Probably that the PPV ended at like 11:30 pm and people have jobs they have to be at the following day and kids have school. So they probably left early because of that, no matter what the main event was gonna be. Yeah.... I almost shut it off just so I could go to bed. Because I had work the next day and I get up relatively early. It rather obvious who was gonna win, but I still couldn't do it.

Why does everyone say "thoughts?" when making threads Cause we want other peoples opinions on the matter. This is a wrestling discussion forum if i'm not mistaken? I believe what he was getting at is that this is a message board. It's an unnecessary statement since the point of a message board is to discuss things. Anyways, I think this is the first time that finally people did something during a Roman match. People on this board and other boards I frequent always say "Let's be silent when Reigns is in the ring" or "Let's leave" but no one ever does. (I left halfway through his match at Mania 34 there was no mass exodus like here). This is the first time people seemingly may good on their "promise"

Call of Duty was calling me, so after the AJ Naka match, I went and played with my brother till about midnight. Found something better to do with my time.

Why does everyone say "thoughts?" when making threads I seriously thought it was just people making fun of Cody Rhodes Diva. That's why I've done it.

They'll probably put the blame on Joe.

I really hope that Joe and Roman don't get blamed for this. It isn't their fault that they were told to close the show.
It was a meaningless match that meant nothing and had no place closing a PPV. Put it like this it was late Sunday evening and people have work to go to so why stay and watch a match that has no real outcome? I have left many house shows early over the years to beat the traffic.
Realistically the World title match should've closed the show but at the same time the finish was awful so it wouldn't have worked either.

Samoa Joe is too smart to lead Roman through a match like that in a main event spot. That was very clearly the direction the agents provided those guys. Vince assumed (wrongly, of course) that having Joe slow the match to a grinding hault and jaw at the audience was going to get Roman cheered. It was meta level garbage that was never going to work. In any case, I'm sure a good number of people left because of Roman Reigns and the spot of that match, but it's also fair to assume that families with kids were walking out because it was a school night and they were well into the 11:00pm hour. WWE also doesn't seem to care or realize that public transportation in large cities may have cutoff times.

I doubt Vince cares unless those people can find a way to take their $ back.

This is, unfortunately, the only way WWE is going to get the message. Either people need to leave when his match begins, or they need to stay completely silent.

So it looks like WWE is going to try this on wwe fans so do you guys think with will work.
WWE is reported to be working on new plans to achieve favorable crowd reactions for Roman Reigns as part of their years-long quest to coronate him as the company’s newest top star, according to the Wrestling Observer.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that the current storyline of Roman Reigns claiming he is being held down by management is their newest plan to recreate the Daniel Bryan vs. The Authority feud from 2013-2014. The company believes by recreating the Bryan underdog storyline with Reigns constantly being “screwed” by management, crowds will start to rally behind Reigns and generate a very positive response when he eventually overcomes the odds to win the Universal Championship.
Meltzer also said that it is currently unknown if Kurt Angle will be turning heel as part of this plan. He also stated that while fans are currently not buying into the storyline, the company is still fully committed to the plans.

When are they going to understand that Roman will NEVER be the underdog? A guy who’s 6’3” 260lbs isn’t going to register with the fans the same way a guy who’s 5’8” 180lbs will. Roman has always had the advantage his entire life and the audience won’t be dumb enough to just ignore that.

It takes five F-5s, one through a table, to beat Roman when no one else survives even one F-5 yet we are supposed to believe Roman is an underdog? #WWELogic

Making Reigns an unbelievable underdog isn't going to stop ppl from walking out.
Regardless of the finish, the WWE title match should have closed the show.
