Not at all. You actually emphasized his popularity in Mexico and I agreed with that sentiment but pointed out that it has not translated to worldwide recognition. Hogan is one of the most recognizable people in the world. This is a fact and it refuted everything you said. His point was that his celebrity was at a higher scaled than Hogan worldwide. Hogan is known all around the world for B movies and wrestling. His point was that El Santo’s game includes statues in the capital city, as well as his work outside of wrestling is heavily engrained into Mexican culture at a higher percentage than Hogan’s work. They are hard to compare, but I got his point. I understood his point. My point is that in spite of his status in the country of Mexico where he is highly respected, he is virtually unknown outside of that one Country. The reality is that being in a crappy Hollywood film will garner you more fame than being in the most critically acclaimed Mexican film. (It’s like comparing the wwe to an Indy promotion) Especially when you consider the era that hogan rose to prominence. Hollywood films get releases all around the world and translated into other languages. The US is just north of the Mexican border and el Santo is not even recognizable here to anyone other than hardcore wrestling historians. It’s really absurd to compare the two.

La Parka, Ultimo Dragon, and Hayabusa but if done right I'll buy all of those choices

Again, the point is that Santo is more famous in Mexico than comparably Hogan is famous worldwide. Let’s say 1 out of every 10 people world wide know who Hogan is, 4 out of 10 in Mexico know Santo. It’s apples and oranges sure, but that is the point.
