Elias has been slowly rising the ranks of the WWE. A few months ago he was having a lame feud with Jason Jordan and now he's battling it out with big names like Cena and Lashley. His push kind of reminds me of Cena's meteoric rise. First he was seen as a rookie on Smackdown but then he started having high profile matches with the likes of Big Show, Booker T and JBL. I think Elias is still in the "rookie" phase where he doesn't score the win like Cena vs Taker Vengeance '03. What worries me is what happens after he is no longer a rookie. One could say that he will become a jobber like Fandango and this guitar gimmick is just something that is good now. But with how much time WWE has invested into Elias I think Vince/Hunter have others plans. Do WWE turn Elias into a merchandise machine? Reigns has failed. Strowman doesn't fit that number one spot as he's too big. Balor? Too small. Do WWE give a Elias a huge push and turn him into the face of the company? I don't think he is a good enough in ring wrestler to be the face of WWE. He does have the "look" WWE like and if Vince has got another decade left in him we all might have to WALK WITH ELIAS!
Eerie similarities.

I like Elias, he’s is only going to get better, if they want him as the top baby face I am fine with that...because I walk with Elias.

It is ironic that Vince has these stars like Elias, Strowman, Owens, Zayn, Joe, who the fans actually love and get behind, and yet he still wants to make Roman Reigns the main guy.

I should have added on to my original post: he's got over with a load of the fans but this gimmick is only a stepping stone, its great for where he is now but he can't get a 10 year career out of singing half hate speech promo and being interrupted he needs to evolve over the next year

I was watching raw last night juat listening to the reaction for Reigns and though how embarrassing it is. At least Cena got a mixed reaction when he was in his prime.

Yep. I’ve liked him since he started using the drifter gimmick in NXT.

I think WWE tries too hard to force their desired reactions. When you have people that the fans naturally want to cheer for, and other people who the fans naturally want to boo.....the fans have done your job for you. The WWE needs to realize when to pivot and adjust if something isn't working out.
At the end of the day, if it was me...as long as I have Superstars that fans will pay to boo, and Superstars that fans will pay to cheer for....I don't understand why Vince McMahon cares who those specific people are.
But Vince seems hell bent on "you WILL cheer for ______ and you WILL boo ______".
That would be like walking into a restaurant and ordering a steak and they bring out your food and serve you a fish and say "you'll enjoy this a lot more".

I really like his segments. I think he's a mediocre worker, though. So for that I think he's a great midcard act in the vein of someone like the HTM. He's almost a Damian Sandow replacement, but not as funny. I don't see him as a future main eventer. I think he got a catchphrase over the same way an internet meme gets over and the second he steps out of that gimmick he's done.

Been a Fan since his debut on the Main Roster, I think he's fantastic promo and a pretty good wrestler.

I walked with Elias before his TV debut on NXT. I walked with Elias the second he came out at a NXT house show in st.Augustine in fall of 2016 and trashed St.Augustine and putting over the Hurricane that devistated the East Coast of Florida. I saw a heel, I saw a man with no fear, and I saw a star. Instant fan, and I gladly Walk With Elias!

I was watching raw last night juat listening to the reaction for Reigns and though how embarrassing it is. At least Cena got a mixed reaction when he was in his prime. Remember though, when Cena broke into the main event, he had gotten over with the crowd, he basically got the Rock treatment; was doing awful as the straight laced baby face, turned him heel, and eventually the fans started to like him. They built him up well towards his eventual winning of the title from JBL. It was after he became a main eventer, when the over the top booking really started. With Reigns, even when the Shield was together, a lot of people figured Vince would be pushing him as the 'star' of the group, despite him being really being the less well rounded of the three.
