And all I'm saying is, I don't think Fox would dish out that kinda cash for an inferior show. They probably knew what WWE had gotten for RAW. They probably knew SD had no home next year. But they still gave WWE all that money. So obvious have intentions on doing something with it. Like I said, I expect some changes in maybe presentation and maybe format, but I doubt we are going to see them take major risks and be edgy. SDL is already a totally superior show to Raw, so I don't expect much to change except the way its presented. They plan on it replacing UFC because it will, simply because of the consistent amount of viewers they bring in. That base of people who watch weekly, will follow the show wherever they put it. When did I ever say it was going to be “edgy”? Please show me. I said I expect new signings, new commentators, and maybe a new stage. But at no time did I say this was the beginning of an edgier product.

All I am saying is that they landed this deal with content that has been phoned in for over a decade. I'm sure when they switch to Fox, they will spice up presentation and whatnot, but I don't expect them to turn their programming into super compelling stuff. They have the deal, they have the investors and sponsors, they will stay the course and continue to rake in the money while not doing anything out of the ordinary. They aren't going to take risks now with this deal, there's no reason to. They aren't fighting for their television livelihood. They will put out the same mediocre content, and everyone will watch because it is the only "big time" promotion on tv. And all I'm saying is, I don't think Fox would dish out that kinda cash for an inferior show. They probably knew what WWE had gotten for RAW. They probably knew SD had no home next year. But they still gave WWE all that money. So obvious have intentions on doing something with it. If I recall correctly, USA’s last deal (and maybe several prior) had a re-sign clause saying that anyone could bid on Raw when the contract was up, but no matter what was offered USA was allowed to match it and keep Raw where it is if they chose to. I believe I heard that was what happened here, and Fox settled for Smackdown alone. As for what happens when SD moves to Fox, that’s anyone’s guess. With advertising during Thursday night football, they’re going to have the most exposure since the Saturday Night Main Event days. They better come up with some better creative. I know Vince will have a hand in it until he dies, but this will likely be a time where most of his attention will be on the XFL, so the direction may indeed begin to change.

You didn't but in the past 5 years alone they have brought in tons of new talent, commentators, etc... and the product is still cookie-cutter every week. When I say "edgy" I'm meaning more compelling television (as what I thought you were alluding to as well). Don't expect much from WWE and you will be pleasantly happy.

I never claimed this was the beginning of the next wrestling boom. All I ever said was, they'll keep the roster split and maybe add new commentators, new talent, and a new stage. You told me Fox expects nothing special (still don't know how'd you know that for sure) and banthafett said they didn't have the balls to do it. Which makes no damn sense. As I was saying before, I still fully expect them give SD a facelift of sorts. Maybe even a new color scheme, a new logo, and a new stage. And by saying new signings, I mean some of NXT's best and the top independent talent getting main roster spots. I assume there will be another roster shake up. The last one helped SD drastically, so I would assume they'd do it again.
I just don't see any scenario where they don't use this opportunity to bring in more fans. And I certainly don't see Fox paying that kind of money and telling WWE they can keep everything within the status quo.

I gotta give it to Vince. The old man still manages to get richer by the second despite having a crap product with an amazing roster.
Plus stock is apparently at an all time high, which is probably why the WWE couldn't care less about the ratings being as bad as ever....

Plus stock is apparently at an all time high, which is probably why the WWE couldn't care less about the ratings being as bad as ever.... Amazing roster? The product is crap because the roster is crap. Only 4 or 5 guys are worth watching. Vince is a genius for getting what he gets out of all these bland and boring entertainers. The roster is booked like crap, but I don't believe that the roster is actually crap. The current product is mostly crap tbh but has its small moments. Bryan, Styles, Joe, Nakamura, Balor, Strowman, Ambrose, Rollins, Owens, Lashley, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Wyatt, Orton, Cena, Lesnar, Sami Zayn, Drew Mcintyre, Rusev, Miz, Bobby Roode, New Day, Cesaro, and the list goes on and on...
