Those are no doubt place holders. They will probably have their unique poses and updated attires. From a quick glance it only looks like AJ had an updated model but that little graphic shows him in his new attire so that’s probably why his model shown was updated. Also that’s a new body definition and Nakamura hairstyle on that CAW. They'redefinitely not placeholders, both Roode and Anderson have new attires. Anderson's has the 'too sweet' logos.

That doesn't necessarily mean that they're not all placeholders. Roode and Anderson would not have required new models, only slight attire changes, which would be quickly and easily done. Daniel Bryan would have needed a whole new model. It's very possible that either Bryan's new model was not done at the time this build of the game was put together, or they just want to save showing his new model for later down the road.

And on CAWs, Timschel (he works for 2K and it's confirmed he does, he also posts on Reddit) mentioned that the portrait models are not final though most of them shown won't look any different but he knows at least one of them will be.... and it's obviously Bryan.

Re-reading the info revealed for the Towers modes. I'm liking what I'm seeing. I even like how the MyPlayer Towers will have new towers almost daily. Depending how the towers will go, it might either be something I play every day, or something I'll get bored of because it'd be the same thing with different wrestlers. The game is looking decent so far, still not trying to get too excited for the game to avoid disappointment.

Here’s hoping the WCW arenas will have the platform leading from the stage to the ring this year. Or they at least have it as an option in create an arena.

My Towers sounds pretty awesome. It is like a mix of the old school pick a wrestler and try and win a championship along with the Tower from Mortal Kombat. I hope that they add new Towers pretty frequently. With how hard some of the challenges were in the Showcase modes, I can see some of these being really tough, but fun.
To me this news has served as a huge boost for my interest in the game this year.

While everyone else discusses Daniel Bryan's model being probably a copy and paste....I just want to point out that Andre the Giant in Towers is based on SummerSlam 88. Just think about that and contemplate what that means.

The arena has, but unless I'm misunderstanding the purpose of Towers mode....do we not have to play and win the specific match that Andre the Giant competed in at SummerSlam 88? Or am I misunderstanding what Towers mode really is. I know it's not "showcase", but I thought that each of these Towers had historical significance.

I took it to mean that Andre would be the TOP of the tower that you're working towards. Like as if he was the "final boss" of the tower.

Just think about that and contemplate what that means. I think it just means you compete in the Summerslam '88 arena. They also have Vader with the TLC arena in the Monsters Tower, 2004 Trish in the Modern RAW arena in the Women's Evolution 1 Tower, WWE Savage in the Nitro arena etc.

So you're guaranteed at least 1 new tower a day.

Around what time last year did 2K start revealing the Roster? Was it in September? I'm excited to see the Roster reveals this year.
Both what new Legends we might get (and what ones we might lose), as well as current day talent.
I feel like we will for sure get the likes of Lashley, Liv Morgan, Sarah Logan, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Velveteen Dream, Andrade Cien Almas, and Undisputed Era. But I wonder if we will get War Raiders, EC3, Ricochet, Tyler Bates, Trent Seven, and Pete Dunn, or maybe even Lio Rush or Heavy Machinery.
And as far as Legends go, I hope we finally get Hogan back, and I hope we don't lose many, if any Legends. I was very happy with the Legends we had last year, and would hate to lose any of them.

I was curious about this too recently, so I checked the YouTube channel and saw that Sanity's WWE 2K18 entrance was uploaded on the 20th of August 2017. I think I recall that being one of the first ones uploaded. So we should start to see the roster in a couple of weeks.

I'm hoping that with the Flair being the special edition we can get Arn Anderson back in this year. Would be cool to see Tully and Barry or anything Horsemen related really.

Physical Standard ($59.99) and Deluxe Editions ($89.99) are finally available on Amazon.
But for some reason it's not giving me my Prime pre-order discount. I'm going to have to contact Amazon. Don't we usually get like 20% off pre-orders on video games?
