2k16 was a fun game but had big issues. 2k17 was super buggy and lacked features to the point that I hardly played it and had no interest in 2k18. if they could bring back showcase mode I might be enticed. otherwise i’ll just hold out for NJPW’s game. If you mean Fire Pro, you can't go wrong I play it so much, and literally any and every wrestler is available on the Steam Community. And if they have that online database of created wrestlers on PS4, you'll have the greatest experience.

Every WWE Game I get it day 1 of release, but I thought 2k18 was garbage, and it was $30 on Black Friday last year, so I plan on getting WWE 2k19 on Black Friday if it's $30, unless if MCM looks 1 billion times better then WWE 2k18, also I haven't played WWE 2k18 since March because of Fortnite

I honestly think they need to bring back GM Mode for this year. Give us the salary cap, price everything out. It'd be awesome. Make it available online to play against a friend too. That'd be amazing.
I also think they need to include Fatal 5 Way Matches, because that has been a match type used quite a few times over the last year.
They should go ahead and include a 3 Stages of Hell match, a Gauntlet match, and Mixed Tag Team matches. I feel like those are matches that need to be available without actually having to create match-specific rules. (aka: buried alive or inferno matches)
And could we finally get Triangle Tornado Tag Team Matches back? Please? Why can't we do 2 vs 2 vs 2? I don't understand why they took that out in the first place... We should technically be able to do a four corner tornado tag team match (2 vs 2 vs 2 vs 2- within the 8 Superstar max) That's another popular match type that's been used often.
I think adding these simple match types would be a MASSIVE improvement by adding a little variety to the game and match types.

I'm guessing triangle tornado tag matches are for sure going to be in the game if they keep up the HoF showcase mode this year for they Dudley's.

Really hope that isn't an issue because having all six of those guys in as Attitude Era legends would really be a wicked selling point for me.

They haven't had all six of those guys in a game together since WWE Smackdown Shut your Mouth
I hope we get the Dudleyz, Hardyz, and E&C

I'm not a game developer, but I don't think that it would be THAT difficult to make this daft old series good again. GM Mode is an absolute necessity. They can make it so much better now if they integrate GM Mode into Universe. Also, as part of Universe/GM Mode, if they aren't going to have a story mode, they should have a variety of mini stories. By that I mean actually create maybe 10-15 or so generic stories that have specific cut scenes that follow a particular path (i.e. Tag Betrayal, Romance/Jealousy, Authority Screwing, Underdog, vs (any) Legend, Cruiserweights, Mixed Tag, NXT Move to Main Roster, etc. Any superstars that meet specific conditions can be plugged in. Then, create maybe 5 to 10 more that require specific conditions, maybe even one or two with audio (i.e. one is an Undertaker feud, another is a Brock feud with Heyman, another requires any singles champion, another tag champions, one or two can only be done from SS or the Rumble to Wrestlemania, and maybe even one with Vince). Or just bring back Story Designer so we can do this all ourselves. I'm tired of the game the way that it is, though. There's no reason that GM Mode can't return now.

I'm going to echo the calls for GM Mode.
ETA: Buuuuuut I think with the roster size being what it is, it could be tricky.

As much as I would like GM mode back in this game, I'm honestly not sure if they should integrate it into Universe. While I primarily play Universe mode each year, it's been historically glitchy and I wouldn't want 2K adding GM mode to it unless they sort out all of the other glitches and issues. I think they should treat them as two different game modes with Universe continuing to be the more creative-based, enhanced Exhibition mode that it has been while GM mode focuses on being more hands-on, competitive, and financially strategic gameplay for set brands like Raw, Smackdown Live, and NXT. Of course in a perfect world, these could be one in the same but I honestly just don't see 2K being able to pull that off. At least not yet.

I'm trying to have hope for 2K19, but I know in my heart it's going to be just a roster update. 2K18 looked the best, but it was all smoke and mirrors with the lighting. It played exactly the same since 2K17 and any differences were NEGATIVE differences bought on by glitches like rebound grapples being broken with guys just crashing into each other, certain moves causing NO damage, bad collision detection with some moves not even capable of landing, and not even being able to climb the turnbuckles at times.
2K19 is going to be 2K17.3, but it's not their fault. They've maxed out the PS4. Can't make any useful additions or fixes until we move to the PS5.

The one thing that I hope for is no legends. I know people may get up in arms over that but we've only lost like 9 modern day wrestlers from 2k18, with new cruserweights and NXT wrestlers that need to put in there's literally no room for legends. When you add in people like The Riot Squad, Ronda, Mustafa Ali from the main roster along with AoP, Ember Moon etc who got called up we'll need an entirely new NXT roster. We're talking Undisputed Era, Ricochet, Veleveteen Dream, Pete Dunne, Shayna plus more. I use 0 legends each year and think this is the year we leave the past...in the past.

This means we'll need room for new workers like Ricochet, Undisputed Era, The dream and more to have an up to date NXT roster not to mention new workers for 205 live. In the last year we've also had Bobby Lashley. When you look at 2k18s roster and look who needs to be removed along with who needs to be added, the additions far out number the removals which is why there's no room for legends this year.

Who are you to say there's no room for legends? I feel like this argument happens every year. There isn't a cap on roster size. Having a legend in the game isn't 'taking the spot' of someone from NXT or 205 Live. If Ricochet, Undisputed Era, etc., aren't in the game, it's not Undertaker '96, Undertaker '98, Undertaker '00, or Undertaker's fault, it's 2K's.

The biggest problem with these games is Yukes they have taken the series as far as they are willing to go. They make so many lazy decisions each year it is crazy some of the animations are a decade old! I would say character models are a 50/50 split. Some look incredible they really do, but any that have long hair look awful becasue for the better part of two decades, Yukes still cannot make long hair look right.
I am under no illusion that having a roster of over 100 guys is easy, but when half of them look bad, do moves that they have never done and have weird entrance animations what is the point?
There are some folks who still love the game as they like to play booker, but I need an actual single player mode to play through. Picking any wrestler I want and trying to become the WWE Champion should not be a feature that I have to wish for in a wrestling game!

Ricochet is one star that will not make the base game. In past years, anyone who debuted/returned around WrestleMania time hasn't made the base game, and has instead been DLC. Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Hardy Boyz, etc. 2K have explicitly stated multiple times in the past that adding in a legend is not taking away a potential new superstar spot. The two have nothing to do with each other. Therefore, there is no reason to take out all the legends, because it's not suddenly going to give them the time and resources to add in as many NXT stars as possible. There's room for as many stars as they want to add. It's down to who they have time to scan, create a model for, do motion capture for, etc. And when it comes to NXT, I'd speculate that it also comes down to who they think is going to stick around. There would be no reason to waste time and resources on somebody who potentially might be gone by the game's release. That's why they only add the big stars of NXT every year, and leave the lesser stars out. Everyone you mentioned are big enough stars for this not to be an issue. But I wouldn't expect most of NXT's roster either.

I'll never understand the love for GM Mode. I mean if there's cool ideas out there about how to make it actually good this time then that's one thing (online with friends is the only good idea I heard), but all GM Mode ever was, was a bunch of nonsense. The A.I almost randomly decided which show was better the first week and it was stuck like that until the Inter-promotional matches at Wrestlemania where whatever show's Superstars won made their show more popular. That was pretty much it. I remember in 08 my friend was winning the WHOLE time until I won every inter-promotional match at Mania and then I won GM of the Year.
How is that an absolute needed mode? I know we actually have the star ratings available in the match now so we could make every match 5 stars and know it but would that really be a fun mode? Play six 5 Star matches in a row, pass the controller and then the other show does the same thing and whoever messes up and has a 4 star match first losses? Or it all comes down to who wins at Mania? I just really don't understand how they would make it a competitive mode other than those two methods.
And the idea to mix it with Universe isn't the best idea. Universe shouldn't have limitations like buying contracts and stuff like that. It's supposed to be freely editable. Some players don't even have two brands when they play Universe, or they have Modern RAW and Attitude RAW on the same save for example.

It's *possible* that guys like Ricochet or EC3 could sneak in without being DLC. I don't know exactly when they reported to the PC, but they were live at Takeover: Philly. Who knows when/if they could've done what is necessary to be included in the game as quickly as possible. I would agree tho that they're more than likely to be DLC.
