That stare down was awesome. who thought even a few months ago that we'd be seeing these two face off in a WWE ring? It won't be as good as their ROH matches, but that's ok. Man, Joe's a hell of a talker.

I have a weird feeling that Bryan is gonna turn heel eventually.
But Joe vs. Bryan next week is gonna be awesome!
Jeff Hardy vs. Daniel Bryan was pretty damn entertaining too! Jeff can wrestle when he wants to do so.
Samoa Joe is gonna be WWE Champion eventually on Smackdown, I can just see it coming.

The return of Bryan and the Superstar Shake Up made Smackdown so much more enjoyable for me.

I've been enjoying SmackDown more since the Superstar Shakeup. It's got that 2016 feel to it again.

Bryan should win MITB. Then cash it in on Brock Lesnar.

(Kinda) surprised to hear so many online complaining because Jeff tapped out to the heel hook. The way I look at it is, WWE is reestablishing Bryan and showing his more vicious side as of late. Almost like the loss to Rusev woke him up a bit. I liked it personally.

Dude has a cult like following and I've never heard someone say "turn Jeff heel" he's just a naturally charismatic baby face. Has been for most of his career.

Which begs the question why we need to watch Bryan tap him out on the main event of Smackdown. This is literally the same issue I had with Balor and Braun. You have two guys, immensely popular in their own right. Why in the blue hell are you making the audience pick one guy over the other in a throw away match on a weekly show? I don't think it does anything for either guy when that kind of thing happens and it's not some big, nicely built, babyface showdown.

They were competing for a shot to face Joe for the spot in MITB. There was something on the line. This was a competitive match. Further, nothing was damaged in terms of Hardy's popularity. It doesn't do anything to harm his direction--whatever that is at this point as the story with Randy is shelved until Randy returns. On a side note: Maybe its because the focus isn't on Jinder or Baron Corbin anymore, but SDL seems different. Like pre-first shakeup different. I've enjoyed it tremendously.

I don't think it does anything for either guy when that kind of thing happens and it's not some big, nicely built, babyface showdown. while this is indeed true and I'm a huge Hardy fan, it didn't hurt him at all. It showed he can hang with the best but he is still someone who can be beat. He's just a strong top level talent who can take clean losses and walk away just fine. Why? I'm not sure. My favorite match was him vs Undertaker in a ladder match on RAW for the Undisputed Champonship. Ever since that rub in the post match he's been main event level. There's just something about him that instead of saying "awh they're burying him he's no good" it's more like "it's okay kid you'll get them next time" idk how or why he has the backing that he does but it's worked wonders for his career. Who woulda thought in the 90s that Jeff Hardy would be a former WWE Champion? Not many.
