It would be interesting to see, just for the nostalgia. But I wouldnt write off smackdown at the moment Smackdown seems to be angled at wrestling fans, you've got Nakamura, AJ, Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe, the tag division is pretty stacked with Uso's, The Bar and New Day theyve all had awesome matches with eachother, The Miz has gained so much popularity for his workrate and dedication Smackdown is hot atm. RAW's saving grace is Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins, but they wont cut the flagship show. Wouldnt mind seeing 205 take a dive though... I'm with you on this, but part of what turns me off about ALL these shows are the stupid camera zooms and the lack of focus on the action. Not something that's going to change, but I was thinking more along the lines of visual styles (WCW and WWF were definitely different from each other to a large degree for a while which is what made that timeframe so enjoyable) as opposed to actual talent! Some of the camera work is pretty bad especially the "impact" shakes they do and missing spots in multiman matches |

I prefer 4 hour PPVs, get more for my money, even if the extra hour is just filler lol
If they use the extra time to give more women wrestlers matches at PPVs that would be great. I feel they are still under utilised as a whole on PPVs. Let them have more singles fueds.

in 1998, if all wrestling ppvs were going 4 hours i’d think it would risk overkilling it and having excessive content. in 2018, while wwe’s popularity diminishes, it’s frankly an absurd move from my perspective. must make business sense for them to do it though. Um, it's more popular than ever lol It makes more money than it ever did, but it isn’t more popular. |
