Title says it all. I went to my local Ollie's looking for the elites I had heard about but needless to say they didn't have any. However I found the whole series yesterday. I hope this can help someone out.

Series 1 and 2 did well in my area. Series 3 is warming hard and I think it’s because the price jump to $12.99

Didn't Bill say these retros were a massive success... I mean who, who, who, is buying these? My Walmart never got a single case. Walmart had to cancel there orders for them or something? Because remember how earlier in the year I think people were finding retro 2 In the clearance section?

The way people rave about these on this site, you would think they are the hottest figures in the world!

Didn't Bill say these retros were a massive success... I mean who, who, who, is buying these? Yeah, and I'd wager they were in the beginning, especially considering this was only supposed to be one wave. I doubt Mattel just wanted to throw money away. The problem (as always) was stores and distribution. Then instead of stocking series 2, Walmart had the brilliant idea to put out shippers full of the series 1 figures everyone had already bought, which clogged the pegs and made it difficult to impossible for a lot of people to find series 2. Then (I'm not sure who) made the decision to push the line on without it being a Walmart exclusive, but the price jumped up 3 bucks because of the ridiculous idea to make them TTL figures with a mobile game aspect (despite the fact that Lego Dimensions, Skylanders, and almost all the other TTL figures have died off because the fad is over). Then Gamestop got the third series of figures well over a month before anyone else, which meant that most people who wanted the figures already had them by the time they started being stocked at Target and TRU. Then TRU shut down, which means people now have to rely on Target (laughable), Gamestop (if they keep stocking them), and online.

Didn't Bill say these retros were a massive success... I mean who, who, who, is buying these? Maybe theyre a massive success compared to Flex Force, Super Strikers, Create-a-Superstar, Mutants, Zombies, Monsters, Superstars Dolls and the windup crap.

I would totally watch The Fall of Retros, a YouTube documentary detailing how Mattel killed a line before it began. On the serious side, I always thought it was niche to a small dedicated fanbase. I'm sure there are several younger collector that appreciates the line, however. That said, I don't think Retros are completely dead... Elites are at 5 Below, TJ Maxx, and Big Lots. Mattel is prolly making enough profit to atleast go 10 waves strong.

They just need to drop the TTL game aspect. 10 dollars and under is obviously the sweet spot for these. Over 10 bucks, and they're losing casual interest.

The ollies I go to got them like a week ago and the one in bristol pa.had multiples of each as of yesterday. I gotta admit I laughed when I saw all those kanes for $3.99. People were paying insane amounts for that figure when Walmart was barely stocking them.

Didn't Bill say these retros were a massive success... I mean who, who, who, is buying these? I think the line has done really good. The release schedule has been a mess from jump though. Series 3 has been available for 7 months and its only 4 figures that why they been shelf warming. And for series 2 being on sale, that's pretty crazy to be honest because that set was pretty hard to find in stores. Walmart messed that up big time.

People were paying insane amounts for that figure when Walmart was barely stocking them. Walmart or Mattel not sure who's really to blame for distribution here, really bungled up the first 2 waves. They clogged all the shelves with Warriors and Cenas so S2 barely showed up. Kanes have sold for as much as $90 on ebay up until this month! So obviously there was demand, but not a correct supply. Can't believe they're showing up for 4 bucks now lol

Series 1 and 2 did well in my area. Series 3 is warming hard and I think it’s because the price jump to $12.99 Series 1 and 2 where walmart exclusive and cheaper. Now they cost more and walmart is not even carrying them, probably should have just stayed at walmart.
