I got a full set at Ollie's two hours before close. A friend asked for a set. I went back early the next day, and it was half the stock they had the night before, and no Kane or Mankind left.

Didn't Bill say these retros were a massive success... I mean who, who, who, is buying these? My Walmart never got a single case. Walmart had to cancel there orders for them or something? Because remember how earlier in the year I think people were finding retro 2 In the clearance section? Our Walmart got ONE shipment in. I think in September. Nothing since, but oddly enough most of the Series 2 is available on the Walmart app. Free shipping to your stores location too. The first few series and the way they were released is an anomaly.

Thanks to the OP for this. I was able to FINALLY finish the second series (I needed HHH, Sting, Kane, and Mankind and I got em all!) after completely giving up. I do like the retro series a lot, but after distro went haywire I was done. Now I have the first 3 series conpleted, I’ll keep going. As mentioned by another poster here, I now laugh at the people selling and buying Kane for insane amounts on the secondary market.

What hurts retros is the fact they made an ass ton of current guys. Lets be realistic the recent Hasbro craze is older people trying to collect from their childhood. They're wanting to add a Macho Man they didnt have or one of the missing pieces of Demolition....even adding a guy they wished Hasbro would have made but didnt....Instead we get New Day and ing Dean Ambrose.....and people wonder why these rotted on shelves and are now at discount stores.

It would appear that series 3 is 6.49 at Gamestop as well.

This. Surely the market for these figures is primarily older fans (who either remember or collected the Hasbro's originally)? It baffles me that the line has become nearly all current-roster based - especially given the price rise... will most kids and parents really prefer these "funny looking" figures over their Basic counterparts?

Great to see these at "retro" Hasbro prices! Series 3 is doing really well near me. We never saw series 2 because series 1 was MASSIVELY overstocked.
I agree that they COMPLETELY missed the market on these, in what should have been the biggest no-brainer ever. They should have been making figures that either filled holes in the Hasbro line or picked up either right before Hasbro started or where they left off. I would imagine that the average Hasbro collector would have been ALL ABOUT Diesel, the Hart Foundation, Haku, USA Lex Luger, Tugboat, 94-95 HBK, Big John Studd, the Brain Busters, tuxedo Virgil, Iraqi heel Sgt. Slaughter, etc., etc. over Dean Ambrose or present day Goldberg.
Hell, they even have a change to get a (slightly different, of course) Rhythm & Blues Greg Valentine to mass market. Can you imagine how well something like that would do as a con exclusive?
