I wanted to chime in here. Now I agree if you play with your figures the Storm Hollywood isn’t the best way to go. But if you don’t, GET IT. I have both of the ones RSC has sold and they are among my favorite figures in my collection. Fantastic detail, they look GREAT on the shelves with your Mattel figs, and the extra articulation is awesome! I was somewhat skeptical at first but once I ordered and received the figure I was blown away. Honestly, I like them so much that if Mattel ever decides to release them, I might just skip them as it won’t be any better than the Storm ones. Also at this point, Mattel would do a stupid cash grab and put it with a $100 ring or as an Entrance Greats where you have to pay $30+ without any cool accessories or titles. Thanks for the review. I bought the black/white/red Hollywood Hogan from Ringside yesterday and I cant wait to receive it. I heard Storm Collectibles figures are better than SH Figurarts in terms of quality and scale. $24.99 is a bargain considering Storm's Street Fighter and Tekken figures are $50-60.

Why are some non Mattel threads left and others moved? This is a thread about Storm’s Hogan figures and Mattel’s Hogan figures. Oh my bad. Didn't realise that by your original post. My apologies

That figure rules.

Still can't believe Mattel didn't make Hollywood Hogan They should have pumped his figures out real quick before his scandal lol. I'm just hoping WWE announce he has resigned sooner rather than later. At least we shouldn't be waiting a year after he re-signs to get more figures. Mattel have made his figures previously and planned the nWo version so it shouldn't take them that much time/effort to put him into production again ... hopefully.

It should be like Jeff Hardy with the originally planned elite 1 getting an entrance greats almost straight away after his return.

That figure rules. I collect Dragon Ball Figuarts and find them to be quite excellent quality but agree that their WWE figuarts were unfortunately way out of scale when compared to mattel. But I also agree if you are after a Hollywood Hogan go with Storm. Just from looking at the joint layout and design it is obvious that they look to be very well built.

I bought the first Storm Hollywood and I really like it, it does the job of filling the void in my Mattel nWo. I'll also agree with most here that the floating crotch piece is the one major flaw in the design. Mattel obviously had no idea that scandal was coming, but the fact that they gave us elites of modern Hogan, Mania 9 and a Made in the USA version while holding off Hollywood for another year was ridiculous anyway. The computer render mock up of Hollywood we saw also had some issues that I hope they change if they ever get the chance.

After all this time, Mattel can change his look. I would like more of a pucker lips, snooty face look. The belt def need to change to "Hollywood". Everything else looks great to me on this Elite. I'm pretty sure someone on here asked Bill (...remember him!?) about the belt changing to "Hollywood" and he said it probably would. I remember, just reminding Bill. Ahh Bill, how far he's travel to stay away from us....(puts head down)

That figure rules. It came in the mail today and what a thing of beauty. My only complaint is when I opened up the bag with the boas, feathers were flying everywhere. It fits great with Mattel but I put it with 3 Jakks CS Hogans and it fits well with them too since he did shrink in height from the 80s. Storm should get to work on more Hogans like 80s Hogan, white attire/Thunderlips Hogan and Hulk Still Rules.

When I got the second Hollywood they released I didn’t even open the boa because of that reason. I also like how the hands can be switched. I’m all about that kinda stuff with my figures.

The only problem is, and I think Bill or someone from Mattel said this, because of Hogan’s actions (which is another topic for another day), there’s no guarantee Mattel will actually be prepared to make Hogan figures even if he is resigned. I mean I think that would be a shame, but I can understand the logic at least

Does anyone have the numbers on when the first Hogan was released and how many were released before they had to stop production? For some reason it feels like Mattel had "years" to get Hogans out but at the same time I can't recall the numbers.

Hogan came back to the WWE in early 2014, so his first figure, I think the DM, came out around the holiday season later that year. He also had Ringside Exclusive American Made Basic 48 (Wrestlemania II Flashback) Elite 34? in black jeans Walmart Exclusive Basic with molded HULK RULES shirt Create a Superstar Mr America Bill said he had to cancel 6 Hogan figures, at least one was a rerelease, when he got fired.

So Hogan was under a deal from Jan/Feb of 2014- Fired July 2015, and Mattel got 9 out. That seems incredible for Mattel.

Yeah we’ve seen: DM Hollywood Training gear BP with Cena Zombie And I’m totally drawing a blank on the others.
