What if WWE did an ecw one night stand in the Hammerstein ballroom this year? It would be really cool and guys like The Dudleyz, Dreamer, RVD, Sabu, Rhyno, Jericho, Mysterio are still around. They could even mix in current wwe talent like they did in 2006. To me it would be a fun idea

They are all too old and I absolutley hate to say that. Those that are still working are in great shape, but if you watch their in ring work close, its slow and methodical. I’ll pop in a DVD for my ECDub fix.

I'm like the biggest ECW fan ever, and I have absolutely ZERO interest in anymore ECW revival shows. I's time to let it go. The ECW ONS PPV in 2005 was amazing. The one in 2006 was more focused on WWE than any of the ECW guys, and the horrible ECW TV show WWE did never even should have happened it was such a joke and nothing even close to what the real ECW represented.
It's time to let it go and it should have ended after the ONS PPV in 2005. That would have been the proper way to honor ECW. That would have left a positive taste in the mouths of all of us ECW fans, instead, history will always show that Ezekiel Jackson was the last ever ECW Champion.

There have been A LOT of ecw reunion shows since the company died in 2001. I wish I had an exact number. I'm not all for another one and if wwe ever does the deal where they charge a little more money for the network for extra content, I hope another new ecw isn't part of it. Never gonna happen, but IF they do it and IF they give Paul E 100% control over it I'll watch. Only in a dream world right?

The horse is dead. Been dead. He was starved and then beaten. Pushed off a cliff even. Stop trying to revive it.

Even if Paul Heyman had 100% control over it, it's just too late. What is the quality of the product going to be? Rhyno is only 42, but he's treated as a jobber in WWE. Mysterio and Jericho can still go, but beyond that...what would be the point? Sabu is 53. Sandman is 54. Tommy Dreamer is 47. D-Von is 45 and FAT. Bubba Ray is 46. Tajiri is 47. Super Crazy is 44. RVD is 47. Justin Credible is 44 and a mess. Lance Storm is 49. Raven is 53, in awful shape and blackballed by WWE. Spike Dudley is 47. Kid Kash is 48. Little Guido is 46. New Jack is 55 and blackballed by WWE. Taz is 50, fat, and his neck prevents him from wrestling. Shane Douglas is 53. --------------------- Balls Mahoney is dead. Axl Rotten is dead. Mike Awesome is dead. Big Dick Dudley is dead. Again, I'll ask the question....IF this were to happen, what exactly do you think is the potential quality of the product going to be? Is this something that anyone would actually want to see? If you want to see ECW, go watch the actual ECW on the WWE Network and appreciate it for what it was. You're not going to be able to recreate it with old men who can't wrestle anymore. I'd rather pull up a PPV from 1998 of everyone in their prime and see them at their best, than to have a show of those guys in their current age and conditions. In 2018, ECW doesn't work. It was a 90's thing. The culture is different. You just can't do that stuff anymore and if you try and call something ECW under WWE's PG environment there is NO WAY to make it seem authentic, nor should it try to be recreated with either past stars, or new stars. Wrestling has been going in a different direction for the past decade. It's not coming back the other way. Again, I'm one of the biggest ECW fans ever. I lived through that time. It was a great time, one of my favorite times. But I am absolutely, 100% against any new use of the ECW brand. If they want to do clip shows, documentaries, maybe put some more ECW guys in the Hall of Fame...great. But no more matches ore revivals or reunions. ECW is something that should be honored, and remembered....not rebooted.

Roman would plow through all the originals by himself, and the Philly folk who take it way too seriously would probably go after him. Ever been on the Broad Street subway with the drunk Philly wrestling fans?

ECW Show with a bunch of 50 year olds where blood isn’t allowed and the most extreme they can get is a chair shot to the back, going through a precut ladder or table, or falling off something high? I’ll pass.

Again that is IF he had full control with no McMahon involvement. I think he would evolve it. He wouldn't just rehash the old ecw. Likely never going to happen, but another ecw or anything that Heyman has full control over creatively I would watch.

that era of wrestling is now just a segment of history, as it should be.
ecw was great in its own ways, but as much as I loved it it served as a detriment to wrestlers health - always trying to push the big spots.
wrestling should acknowledge what ecw was, but never replicate it. it did just as much damage as good to the business.

We need this to happen again exactly but for wcw this time around it'd be a perfect way to bring Hogan back in

Why is somebody's grandmother hitting people with a Singapore cane? Who's this geriatric black guy who can barely move? Why where they calling that morbidly obese sex offender Justin Credible? And why were the young guys in that match having a harder time moving than their opponents?

Let it be dead for God’s sake. The revival of ECW over a decade ago was a complete disaster in every way. Just let it be gone.
