As far as postage to australia I think they are great. How much shipping for 1 elite to Australia? About $20 but buying 2 figures or more it is the same price. That's what I do anyway. Usually I can get the figures at about $5 above retail cost here. And way below the majority on eBay internationally where people use the global shipping program.

The price issue wouldn’t be so bad mainly because it’s down to global trade/interest rate issues. But Mattel have made and continues to make the many many figs worth actually having US exclusives. That’s what has killed UK collecting imo. They cost at least £40 - that’s $53 and upwards!!!!!!! - at the least over here. Combined with a lack of retailers who actually sell the damn things. If we had more shops then they may choose to select the exclusives but as it stands it’s Smyths. Entertainer picks up the dregs and then B&M bottom feed after. It’s crap.
The other worrying thing happening recently is either Smyths are leaving certain figs out of sets or Mattel aren’t sending them in the boxes to the UK in the first place. Either way it needs to stop.
It is what it is. I stopped for 10 months and started again a month ago and it’s shocked me to see that the UK scene is pretty much dead now. For me, instead of getting loads of figs of everyone, I now just get figs of 5-6 people, elite only. Mattel will now get 10% of what I used to spend and I think a lot of other uk collectors are either doing the same by cutting back or just giving up completely and walking away. Which some US trolls will just say “well just quit then” but I personally don’t see customers reducing their spend or quitting as a good thing.
It’s up to Smyths and other retailers to step up and get the full stock in or Mattel to make sure all stock is available and to quit making the better more desirable figs locked behind being an exclusive to one country.

Yeah the issue is that the Exclusives are the ones a lot of people want while the ones we get no one even in the States wants. Guys like Maryse, #DIY etc could all do well in the UK if given the chance or at least if given in limited quantities. But instead we get flashbacks that no one wants that just rot and that makes stores think "These aren't very popular why should we continue" Which I feel like Argos have done because at £22 they just had rubbish selections so they gave up understandably. I still think the Elite series should be current/NXT stars and exclusives could come out more frequently but have flashbacks since it's a pretty limited market.

Since the original post seems to be lacking quite a bit of context, are you saying that cases shipped to the UK are missing James and Gable figures entirely? Or simply that they're hard to find? If the UK is getting a different case configuration than the US, that's definitely newsworthy. It's possible that this is something asked for by the store, or perhaps these are late run cases where the shorter produced figures have already been packed and shipped. Not all figures are produced in equal quantities. People knock jakks pacific for several reasons, but as far as distribution i think i can easily say they where much much better than mattel has been. They also did not short pack stuff do the best of my knowledge. Maybe you uk collectors can chime in on this cause i don't know how good or bad it was with jakks in the uk.

As a kid I wouldn't have a clue but then they put all the current superstars in the current series and then flashbacks/legends in the classic superstar series. I mean other than a few guys I feel like I got most of the roster at that time. Same can't be said for Mattel

Who’s screwing who? Some blame is on Mattel’s part. But most of the blame is on scalpers, & stores distribution employees/stock room. Stores here in the U.S are known to skip figures or series. Figures are picked up by scalpers or collectors. Series get skipped cause of the stores.

I’m from Australia and first off be happy you guys at least get new figures on a somewhat regular basis but secondly I was in the uk a few weeks ago and I went to smyths after smyths trying to find that Mickie figure and got the run around from every employee I spoke too. So apparently they get sent figures at random, it’ll be in next Tuesday, Saturday and Monday and they also sold out of it on the first day.

When collecting stresses you out this much and it starts to become a chore to find figures it is when you need to stop. I get why people are frustrated, I really do, but collecting wrestling figures should be something that is fun. If it is not fun, walk away.

Only this year have I started back into it again. Finding Cactus Jack for $15 was the starter.

I'm a UK collector and I'm not complaining at the moment. We've got all the EG's, NXT Series 3, Summerslam Elite's and E59. Boo hoo no Chad Gable.
