I suffer from really bad obsessive thinking/OCD and I was thinking - as an obsessed WWF/WWE fan for the last 20 years - could pro wrestling be the perfect form of entertainment for an OCD sufferer? Everything fits into a category - heel, babyface, title match, good on the mic, bad on the mic, mark, smark, etc. Look at the video games we've played for years: creating a storyline, wrestler, etc., everything is perfectly organized. "Table match," "ladder match," this type of feud, that type of feud, and so on. Everything fits perfectly into boxes and areas. It's even the case for records of PPVs, title histories, and the list goes on. A lot of things in life are like this (especially sports and things involving statistics), but I feel pro wrestling takes it to a higher level.
What do you think?

I wouldn’t say that at all.
I would say it probably is for Someone with ADHD though cause it’s constantly changing and moving forward to new things.

Can't it just be something you either get or you don't?

I think maybe along the lines of consistent shows, like always having Raw/SD each week and a PPV about once a month. WWE can be pretty chaotic and not follow their own logic much of the time, so that alone can be a point of frustration.

I have a hard time paying attention mostly because the product sucks and the same guys wrestle for 4-5 straight ppvs all while still wrestling each other weekly.

I believe Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment is the perfect entertainment for folks with OCD.
I’ve been a fan of the Philadelphia sports teams (Eagles, Sixers, Phillies and Flyers) but bad seasons and the off seasons push me away. Post seasons are good, and Championships are great, but it’s hard to watch your team not make the playoffs, which makes the off seasons start early. Preseason is only fun for the 1st quarter / period, and most times not even the entire 1st quarter / period. Unless it’s a memorable Championship run (1954-55 Sixers (then Nationals), 1966-67 Sixers, 1973-74 Flyers, 1974-75 Flyers, 1980 Phillies, 1982-83 Sixers, 2008 Phillies, 2017-18 Eagles), it’s really tough to go back and watch again (not to mention, some are too old to watch). The trophies are cool, but I haven’t found a replica for the right price. When I do find an affordable version, I’d get all four, and then what?? Would I start collecting Championship Rings and MVP trophies??
I’ve been practicing McMahonism and I’ve been a part of the WWE Universe since 1989, and although there have been bad seasons at times, the fact that there are no off seasons kept me tuned in. Granted, Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment isn’t as great as it once was for me, but I can always go back and watch what I liked over and over again (Vengeance 2001 and WrestleMania XIX, among many others come to mind). I don’t have to tell you about my collection of Championship Title Belts, but you know my love for Gold and Leather. It’s the beauty and variety and history that compels me to continue collecting.
There is not a sport like it. There is not a form of entertainment like it. When it comes down to it, there is absolutely nothing like Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment.
