Yeah, I believe ROH & MSG did have an agreement. But obviously nothing was signed and official yet. Thus why MSG was able to drop them for a WWE show(s). WWE just came in with a better offer and MSG took it. That was my point all along. It's a business move, but nobody was forced to do anything.
And yes, I wish WWE did do more shows there. But from what I understand, it's expensive to do TV from MSG. Yep, there is nothing wrong with what the WWE did. They came in and made MSG an offer they couldn't refuse. I just wish Vince and company didn't feel the need to use these kind of tactics in dealing with the so called competition. The WWE is the number one promotion in the world. That's a fact. No other wrestling promotion is even close. The WWE can put out an average to downright awful at times product and the fans will still come in droves. It comes off as petty to cock-block the competition from holding a show at MSG when they don't need to. Putting Taker on the card was a bone thrown to the fans to justify what is otherwise a slimy business decision. [sarcasm]I've been watching wrestling for forty years, longer than most WF members have been alive. Based on the implications made earlier in this thread, that means I am right. [/sarcasm]

Then let them sue. But it'd be MSG they'd be suing. It was MSG that took their offer but canceled it for a better one. Not WWE forcing anyone to do anything. The fact you keep throwing the word "bullying" isn't helping your case. You brought my age into it though it had nothing to do with the topic. But I'm the jerk because you didn't get the answer you wanted? Cool. It had everything to do with the topic, old promoters did this to Vince when he was on the rise, surely you'd know that if your fandom wasn't in a bubble. I already said the issue would be suing MSG they gave WWE dates ROH had been given. WWE is bullying the smaller promotions by snatching up talent, double booking cities, and threatening the All In group with signing people off their show. It's reality. I'm sorry the WWE Universe is basically the flat earth society. See, you're grasping again. You keep trying to bring my fandom and age into this when it has nothing to do with it.
Just because I understand why MSG would rather have a WWE show as opposed to a ROH doesn't mean I'm in a bubble. Because I think using the word bullying in this case is pathetic, doesn't man I don't understand why it sucks for ROH. But nobody is being bullied and nobody forced MSG into anything. MSG made a business decision. And I can understand why they did it.
Sorry I'm not some cool anti-WWE wrestling fan who bitches and moans constantly.

[/sarcasm] Well for some reason my age is being brought up. I don't get it, but apparently it's crucial to the topic. And make sure you hold tight for more flat earth comments. But yeah, this sucks for ROH. But I think saying WWE FORCED or anyone was BULLIED is a bit much IMO.

The fact that Undertaker vs. Punishment Martínez is actually a debate for some people on here just shows how toxic and snobby the IWC has become. Some boring, generic looking indie wrestler with no charisma whatsoever is NEVER going to outsell a big name star regardless of in ring ability, whether that be Undertaker, Cena, HHH, Lesnar, etc. Those guys are the ones that sell the tickets. Those guys are the ones that sell the merch. Whether you like it or not, a guy like John Cena will ALWAYS be more valuable than a guy like Finn Bálor. That’s why Cena makes more money and gets put front and center on all the posters and advertising. If I’m trying to sell tickets, I’m trying to get big names that are going to sell those tickets. If I ask 100 people off the street if they've ever heard of John Cena, are they going to say yes or no? How about the same question for Punishment Martinez? The Undertaker? Kenny Omega? That should make it a pretty easy decision.
As far as WWE forcing ROH out, was it morally wrong? Yeah, absolutely, but all major businesses make decisions like this to force competition out. This is how big companies stay on top. WWE made MSG choose between them or the competition, and MSG chose Vince’s side. If ROH is suing anyone, it’s MSG. They could have easily told WWE no, but there said yes.

Always nice to see people on good ol’ WF arguing tooth and nail over something that neither side have any legitimate knowledge of. All of you are arguing over speculation.
You don’t know what kind of deal ROH had, or if it were something set in stone.
You don’t know if WWE has exclusivity at MSG, or if they did what that actually entails.
And you don’t know what’s legal or what’s not in the whole ordeal.
Piss off and go live your lives.
