Terrible news. Vader really turned the tide for the big men in the industry. Before him, a guy of his size was basically used as an attraction. Vader showed that guys his size have the ability to work in the ring and actually put on quality matches. Awful that it was also two days before anything was even reported.
Anyway, I'm sure the WWE will now finally put him in the HOF next year, even though he should've been in years ago. But that's just the way they do things.

Vader was a beast during his title run in wcw. I will never forget his dominant reign. I was not a Vader fan in wwf, but man I can’t ever think about Vader without remembering him as wcw champ.
RIP

Horrible, horrible news. One of my all time favorites. It legitamately hurts that he has to be a posthumous hof induction now. I kept saying it, they NEEDED TO INDUCT VADER THE PAST TWO YEARS SO HE COULD BASK IN HIS GLORY WITH HIS FAMILY AND ENJOY WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND WITH THEM...but alas...no. Should have been that way. I feel like HHH would have made it a priority soon as Vader's health issues came to light. Was there some obstacle, idk? I was super shocked when Jarrett was announced instead of him.

I have only just seen this News, and has come as a bit of a blow...
I remember when I first saw Vader, it was 1992 while feuding with Sting in WCW. How he basically abused Sting was quite horrifing to watch - but at the same time you couldn't look away.
I was always fascinated by his ring entrance, wearing his 'Elephant' mask - placing it on the runway, standing back and summoning the jets of steam to fire from the head gear - was something out of this world. The image of this will always be etched in my mind.
Leon 'Vader' White was an original, an innovator who will never be duplicated, a Wrestler light years ahead of his time.
Goodbye Vader, and Thank you.

A true legend. I wish WWE would've inducted him while he was alive

RIP such a shame he never got a hall of fame induction. The WWE knew that he hadn't long left so their is no excuse.

It'll be such a sleazy PR move on WWE's part to induct Vader now. They knew his time was short & they ignored him. If I were Vader's family, I wouldn't accept. I'd turn them down flat. them. They could've done it years ago but they fluffed him off like he wasn't anything. If they do induct Vader, it'll have such a sleazy feeling to it, I'd hate it at this point. It's too ing late now. They had more than enough time but brushed him off when it mattered. Don't even bother anymore. They had their chance when he alive but they blew it. Big time. If I were Vader's family, I'd ignore them just like they ignored him. WWE. 😠

Vader was one of the reasons I loved early 90s WCW and the most intimidating wrestler during that time. RIP and shame on the WWE for not putting him in the Hall of Fame when he was alive.

I can't wrap my head around why WWE wouldn't induct him, especially due to his health issues. RIP to one of the best big men of all time. I met Vader at a con in Toronto a few years ago. I got this figure signed.

The last one that stung like this was macho. This sucks. I'm short on words for this. Rest easy big guy.

I got this figure signed. I recall last year he was supposed to come to an autograph session here in Philly but had to back out last minute due to his health. If he came I would've got my WWF fig of his signed. Just an overall tough loss for us old school fans.
