That Velveteen Dream Buddy Murphy match was insane! The fast pace those two kept for 15 mins was incredible.

Best burn i’ve heard in a long time was Tyler Breeze to Dream. If you write you phone number on your tights to “call u up” and nobody does, it means nobody’s interested! Ha!

Last night's episode of NXT was fantastic! Honestly, NXT has been lacklustre since TakeOver, but last night's episode was a return to form. Thoroughly enjoyed every single match and segment. As an nL fan, it was fantastic to see Mansoor finally get his first win. Always great to see Candice LeRae in action, especially whenever she picks up a win, considering how criminally underused she's been. It was brilliant seeing Shayna and her MMA Horsewomen get the hell beat out of them by Io. I can't remember the last time the MMA Horsewomen were made to look weak. I know I really shouldn't be getting my hopes up for TakeOver, but I REALLY hope Io finally takes the title away from Shayna and ends the stale booking of the NXT Women's division. And holy crap, Tyler Breeze's NXT return! Although this is the first time an NXT OG has been moved back to NXT, I'd love to see it become a trend, for superstars like Breeze who aren't likely to do anything too memorable on the main roster.
The NXT TakeOver card looks incredible as well. I had hoped that Roderick Strong would leave the Undisputed Era (otherwise what was the point of teasing Strong breaking away?), and join the NXT Championship match to make it a Triple Threat. It's unfortunate that that isn't happening. As much as I love both Johnny Gargano and Adam Cole, I don't really have a strong desire to see a rematch. Their TakeOver: New York match was pretty much perfect, and a 2 out of 3 Falls is usually a stipulation to end a rivalry, not begin it. Adding another competitor to make it a multiman match would make it seem fresh, rather than a repeat of TakeOver: New York because they haven't got anyone else to challenge Gargano.

Was watching Cbeebies with my lads this morning and noticed Saxon Huxley in this daft advert.

Debating weather to go to Takeover its literally 20 mins away from home see what ticket prices are like and to from there, just seen they've announced the venue anyone who knows Cardiff knows the CIA is the only place they'd have it... Wouldnt have minded a showing at the tramshed, never been there but the building is old and looks kinda cool.

Just go... it's Takeover... the chance of it being good based on their track record is over 90%. You can't really say that about the main roster PPV's.... Plus the tickets are cheaper.

From this weeks show... I didn't like Kona Reeves much when he debuted... but I like his progression. His character is basically the jobber version of the Velveteen Dream. I liken his wrestling though to Baron Corbin, which I'm not as high on. I think he will start winning once the Velveteen dream is called up to the main roster. Keith Lee is one of those experienced veterans. He has charisma, he's one of those 300 lb guys that do drop kicks, moonsaults, and flips over the top rope out of the ring onto people. I'm high on him, but don't really expect much in the form of championships.... just good matches. I sort of want to see a Mia Kim and Bianca Belair tag team at some point. I think they could be good WWE tag team champions. It really looks like Kushida is going to be put in the Cruiserweight division. Although it would help the division... it would seem like a waste of his talent to me...

For anyone interested in the potential Takeover Toronto card based on recent tapings, shaping up pretty nicely considering their apparent lack of roster depth: Cole vs. Gargano III (NXT Championship) Baszler vs. Mia Yim (Women's Championship) Street Profits vs. Fish and O'Reilly (Tag Championships) Velveteen Dream vs. Pete Dunne vs. Roderick Strong (North America Championship) Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee) vs. Jordan Myles (ACH) (NXT Breakout Tournament Finals)
Less likely, but potential other matches:
Matt Riddle vs. Killian Dane Io Shirai vs. Candice LeRae Forgotten Sons vs. Fashion Police For those that aren't interested in spoilers, I will at least say; every time it looks like NXT are going to struggle due to call ups or injuries, they continually manage to pull it out the bag 👏 I'm excited to watch the build up.

I was really impressed with it.

I stopped watching NXT UK about 7 weeks ago, having given up on how boring the product was. After hearing a lot of interesting story developments since then, I decided to catch up within the past couple of days. And I'm glad I did! They're really making an effort to improve their product. The Imperium faction is great, uniting British Strong Style in a match is great (though time will tell if this is permanent or temporary), Piper Niven continues to be the best part of the women's division (at least in my opinion), and the arrival of Jazzy Gabert adds even more depth. They're even finally explaining individual character motivations, with that short personal story told by Ligero. Until that, I had no reason to care for Ligero. Now I do.
Still a couple of negatives though. I have no idea why Travis Banks won the match to become the #1 contender. He's been part of NXT UK since the beginning, but I still don't know what his individual character is, what his motivation is, or why I should care about him. One of the blandest guys on the roster. And I'm trying to take Ilja Dragunov seriously. I really am. But I just can't. He's being presented as an intimidating, intense competitor. But his exaggerated gestures and facial expressions are just so silly.
Overall, while NXT UK still has it's fair share of problems and is still nowhere near the level of NXT, it's made big improvements in the past couple of months, and continues to get better every single week.

I have to agree on Banks!
I honestly would rather see Mastiff/WALTER.

I have to agree on Banks! I honestly would rather see Mastiff/WALTER. Oh definitely! Mastiff is one of the best on the roster. But I think they're probably saving him to eventually take the title off of WALTER, which would be too soon right now. I don't really see anyone else on the roster capable of taking down WALTER.

They'll no doubt sign someone new by the time it's due to change hands (WALTER v2).
Can't imagine who really, unless it was someone like Jeff Cobb but I feel like he'd be on NXT.

How would people feel about moving Balor in to take the title off WALTER down the line? Just as a traditional champ, and only temporarily, just to get more eyes on the product. It's an enjoyable weekly show, it just lacks viewers and transferring a bit of star power with a guy like Balor for a few months could attract a larger audience.
