I'm glad SD will remain live. Moving to Friday's doesn't bother me too much. I'll still watch it.
I did notice the article mentioned SD being two hours. I thought I remembered hearing somewhere SD would go to three hours with the move to Fox? Maybe that was just speculation, but I was looking forward to it being three hours to give more wrestlers some TV time to shine.

Well that sucks I thought they would be on Fox proper.
I did find the term flagship show interesting. Looks like Roman will,be moving to Friday.

I think the 3 hour deal was part of the speculation that it would also be taped again following the move to Fox.

It should've went 3 hours. Most of the roster are rotting away in the locker room with barely any feuds of matches. An extra hour would help give them TV time.
I'm also a little unsure about it's move to Fridays. On PPV weeks it will be a long wait from Sunday to Friday to see the aftermath where with Raw it will only be 1 night.

This will make it really inconvenient for WM weekend for those wanting to go to SDL. Maybe they'll make a one time exception for that week.

Mania would put them in an interesting position going forward. Last year Friday Night held the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Saturday Night was NXT, Sunday Mania, Monday Raw and Tuesday Smackdown. They could now do it the following way: Thursday before Mania: WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony Friday before Mania: Final Smackdown before Mania Saturday: NXT Takeover Sunday: WrestleMania Monday: RAW Tuesday: Post Mania International NXT Tapings & 205 Event

More time doesn’t equal a better product, see RAW for example. As for the move to Friday nights it looks like I’ll be watching SmackDown youtube highlights hungover on Saturday mornings as I usually go out Fridays lol

eh, not a fan of it being on Fridays to be honest. i actually got used to and like having back to back nights....but its probably because Fox already has its weekly shows M-Th planned out and aren't going to bring Smackdown in to take their spots. Unfortunately with the way my life is laid out, I probably won't be seeing a lot of Smackdown live once they move, it'll be DVR'ed and watched at another time

It wasn't always taped. I think Thursday nights were live. Also, I imagine the Travel Packages will be going up more than normal because of it. A 3 day last year involved only HOF, NXT and Mania. HOF tickets do not retail as high as Raw or SDL tickets, so if it went SDL, NXT, Mania, the SDL tickets would increase. Perhaps they do away with the 3 day?

Didn't realize Undertaker's career was helped launched through Smackdown. It may have been his home, but he was already a star by then.

There are big sections of the arena tarped off each time. Same with HOF, the audience didn't seem too engaged, and unless there is a stacked class, I don't know if it's necessary for WM weekend, although it's tradition and people have strong opinions about it. An NXT/205 Live taping I don't see being as successful, as the opportunity cost for most would outweigh the benefits to extend an extra day and foregoing returning to work/school/etc.

I’m a married father so the last damn thing I have is a social life. So the move to Friday doesn’t bother me much. I was used to it for all those years, so I just got to get back into the groove.
Plus having wrestling on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday spaces it out more.

Dude by Friday I'm so worn out from work all week that I'm not doing anything besides watching Netflix or the network anyway. I'm good with this move.
