if anyone thinks the WWE doesnt want Cody back or that Cody wouldnt want to go back to the WWE they are just being blind Cody is a perfect example of a guy who NEEDED to go away. The Stardust thing was cool for a bit, but once it became dumb and it was clear they didnt have any further plans for it, they weren't going to just bring back Cody Rhodes, it would have been just as bad. Cody's going the McIntyre route, go away for a few years...get even better than you were and you'll be even more over when you come back. I literally don't remember anyone caring about Drew McIntyre, the 3MB thing was kind of over, but they were jobbers. When he was released it was all about "man what wasted talent, but oh well" then he goes and gets super-over and about 300x better in the ring, and they brought him back now he's one of the biggest things going. Cody needed the break, the WWE needed the break. When he comes back he's gonna be in the same spot as Drew. (not with Dolph, i just mean as over/badass as Drew is) Apparently marino13 and I have failed at our friendship with you if you didnt know this. well, i just meant that like at the time Drew was released he was pretty much a jobber. his "chosen one" push was a failure, and he really wasn't all that good in the ring. i know we were all like "damn no more 3MB" but it didnt stop anybody from watching or get anyone threatening to cancel network subs if i recall...lol

They’ve turned into superstars and don’t need WWE. They make more than a living and are main eventers. They have enough funds to do their own show. If they did sign, it would be for the massive paycheck.

*** completely misleading headline *** aka every Meltzer article ever Not true. In fact, as a long-time subscriber I think the big problem is everyone always misquotes/misinterprets/summarizes instead of direct quotes. I read his newsletter and listen to all of Dave's podcasts and he says what is the common sense take -- the end of the year will be super interesting and critical. He never said "WWE Plans To Sign The Elite Soon." His pods with Alvarez are the best thing going these days. They had a tremendous hour-long interview with Cody after All In sold out and an hour-long interview with Omega last week about Dominion.

All 4 are doing great in the indies, I would keep riding the wave until it starts dying down a lot then I would jump to WWE for a few years and call it quits. The Young Bucks are making more money than most guys in WWE and work less, it's going to have to be a great offer if WWE really wants them. Normally I would agree, but WWE has never had the money it’s getting for Raw and Smackdown, and I have doubts as to them ever getting that much of a payday ever again. If their contracts end around early 2019, WWE will be setting up storylines for Smackdown’s move to Fox in the fall. Vince will more than likely be putting a lot of his effort into his XFL, which means someone else is going to have to make at least a few decisions at the top. I’d assume that would be Hunter, and while nXt doesn’t have shareholders and sponsors to answer to, I feel he could possibly bridge the gap between creative and the stars themselves. Last, but not least, I’m really intrigued by WWE covering the whole Elite vs New Day stuff, spotlighting Omega’s footage on the network in a positive way, and Rey being the exclusive video game character, all while not being signed to a deal, but being advertised for “All In” later this year.

Kenny Omega is the one that the WWE really needs to pull their finger out on. I'm praying that he is getting this NJPW World Title run now, will lose at Wrestle Kingdom, and then be on his way to WWE for a Wrestlemania 35 Match. If he doesn't go after this year, then his value of going later down the line really won't be worth as much. He's not getting any younger, and putting on 5 star Matches consistently will take it's toll. There's only so long he can stay this hot for and be the 'it' thing until people just give up on the dream of him going to WWE.

If wwe brings these guys in, there needs to be like a huge angle....not what they did with Balor, AJ, Nakamura, they need to just invade or run rough shot.

I can envision a storyline where either Cody and the Bucks or Omega and the Bucks do an invasion type of storyline. Could be great. WWE would just have the Shield squash them though

Odds of this go down every time Kenny Omega talks about enjoying his freedom to create. Not like it was going to happen anyway.

I'm sure an attempt will be made. They'd be idiots not to. But any hack can make that prediction.

The only reason to sign with WWE is if you desire the financial security and don't care about what you do creatively.
