but seriously. Do you live in a house or apartment? How big is the place? How many floors? How many bedrooms & bathrooms? Basement? Attic? Garage? Live alone or with anyone? Nice neighborhood?

I live in a house with my wife and 2 children. I’m 10 years in to a 30 year mortgage. My house is within a historic district in a very desirable town and school district. The additional cost to live in my town is the reason we only live in a 180 year old 1,300sq ft, 3br, 1 bath. The attic and basement are unusable. And the detached garage used to be a bookstore long ago but now is not far off from falling down on top of the 100 animals that live in there. I love my town and neighborhood but I hate my house. I have spent thousands with architects designing something better but have yet to pull the trigger.

I live in a 1 bed flat with Mrs. Nev. The neighbours are friendly enough, but the area isn’t the best. We’re hoping to get on the property ladder in the next year or two, and start a family of our own.
Cheers, Nev

I rent a unit within a historic mansion that is along the downtown river. amazing location and despite the house needing some tidying up, is a very cool place to live in. most likely moving this September to get a place with my girlfriend, so this house will represent the last of my bachelor years!

I only make my cracks because we're in about 950 square feet. I don't see it as a downside though - the house is cozy, on a nice dead end in the same neighborhood my wife's family grew up in (actually two doors down). We're not having any more kids, and down the line when he's off doing his thing, we won't be faced with the need to downsize. Just because these things interest me, what is it about your basement that's unusable? I see that a lot with attics (we don't even have one, lol), but that basement's gotta be quite the ordeal.

In a jungle. Not a bad place; lots of fun and games. Pretty much anything you want, as long as you don't take it from this one angry fellow.

When I'm at home in Northern Ireland, I live in a 4 bedroom house with my mom and brother in the suburbs (the fourth bedroom is either used for storage or as a figure room when I'm home haha). It's got 2 floors and 2 bathrooms, plus some nice views down to the coast from my bedroom (At the front of the house) and the view from my brother's room (at the back) is mostly the countryside. It's a nice area, neighbours aren't bad either, I got along with all the kids in the area when I was growing up but we don't speak anymore. We've got an attic, a detached garage and a conservatory in the back.
When I was living in England for uni this past year, I lived in student halls. Pretty small bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Decent view, flatmates were all d-bags though. Next year will be much the same except I'm sharing a flat with my friends so that'll be far better.

In my town my house is perhaps the smallest. I live along a river so the basement floods and is always damp. I run a 2 1/2 gallon dehumidifier 100% of the time and empty once a day all year long unless temps are below freezing.

i live in a house with my mom and my sister, my dad visits sometimes (divorce) but he doesn't really live here unless he needs a place to crash after the casino (every few weeks) it's in a good neighbourhood and i get along with all my neighbors except one he's a REAL peace of work he has a mean ass dog (mutt) that bit my sister once but other than that it is a pretty quiet place overall no crime except when me and my friends get a bit loud playing football on the road ha ha

I'm living with my in-laws at the moment but should be moving to my own place with the wife at the end of August. Just had an offer for a house accepted. Fingers crossed its all a formality with the paperwork etc now.

Two storey house with my wife, Sophie and soon to be eight year old daughter, Ashlynn. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms plus an ensuite. Its out of the city away from pretty much anyone really.
I’ve done the whole apartment thing and hated it. I want a lawn. I want a veggie garden and some fruit trees, rather than a couple of pot plants on the deck. I don’t want to recycle. I want to play AC/DC or Paul McCartney without worrying if it’s too loud. I’m not a fan of such restrictions. Having a home away from just people in general is great.

Waterbed proximity was a total deal breaker when we were selling/buying. Our condo's basement got washed out when the vacant unit had its entire plumbing system go, so I've got a huge aversion to water where it isn't supposed to be. Our neighborhood is as old as the city, so our plumbing to the street is the old tar paper stuff that's starting to fail on us. We've had some backups with ingrown roots, but nothing to that extent. It doesn't help that I have a full sized arcade cabinet down there now. If that thing got hosed? Yeah, I'd be more than a little miffed.

I was living with a roommate in Pittsburgh, but I've since moved back home with mum because she needs the extra help in her advancing years, so it was either I move back or she goes into assisted living and it was really a no brainer to move back and help her retain some semblance of independence. Spent a lot of time here anyways when I was elsewhere.
The apartment is crappy though. We had mold problems even before I was out the first time. The neighbors are crappy, they're nice but a couple of them have serious issues that have resulted in the cops showing up in the middle of the night semi frequently. The community is OK though. It's getting worse as time moves on though, the heroin and opioid epidemic is making its way into the town and we're having a lot of ODs show up on the news when the worst we ever had in the 20 years I lived here prior to the spread of this ish was one tiny cannibis growing house like ten years ago, and I don't want to be exposed to that, nor my mum so we're actively looking for a three bedroom apartment in the surrounding area. Her, me, and an office for me since I plan on sticking around with mum at this point till it gets too much for us to handle on our own, or more morbid, the end.

3 bedrooms, 2 bath, 1 story house with my wife and daughter and my wife's useless, disgusting, non house broken sister. And 3 cats and a dog. All of which are more domesticated than my sister and law. She is for sale, if anyone likes that kinda thing.
