Does anyone else get bothered when wrestlers “buy” front row tickets to shows? This is like a classic storytelling device that has been used forever, but it’s never made sense to me.
Last night Ronda Rousey said she was going to be buying a ticket to Extreme Rules. If you work there, how does it make sense for you to be buying a ticket?
They do this with people that are “suspended” or “banned from the arena” but that still doesn’t make sense. If you’re banned, what good is a ticket?
Even at Wrestlemania, Cena had a ticket. Why wouldn’t he just be backstage?
It’s kind of just something that’s always annoyed me, because it just seems lazy and there’s no logic there.

I guess it’s supposed to be they are there on their own dime. So being suspended doesn’t matter because they aren’t back stage and the WWE can’t stop them from buying a ticket. And if they are banned from the arena again that only works for them being there as an employee the WWE couldn’t stop them from going to the event as a paying customer.
Still it’s foolish to believe, because if the average fan jumped the barricade security would be all over them as well as the police. Yet whenever a suspended superstar is there and jumps the barricades security is nowhere to be found. lol

Hall and Nash did it best.
They didn't say anything. They just showed up with tickets.

it’s a bit of a dated idea, but to be honest i still think it’s a very useable segment to drive storylines.

Hall and Nash did it best. They didn't say anything. They just showed up with tickets. Yeah that was when anything could happen and people tuned in to see. Now they wanna get that yes that person is definitely going to be there make sure you watch. They need to have that surprise factor so people say oh crap I really missed that? I gotta make sure not to miss it

Hall and Nash did it best. They didn't say anything. They just showed up with tickets. Yeah. What worked about that was in storyline they didn’t work there. I’m also ok with a wrestler sitting in the crowd, like a soon to debut wrestler. That’s kinda like “Hey, we want you to sign with us. Watch the show and see what we have.” It’s also fine when like at NXT they have an alumni or a new signing in the front row. It’s like the company is giving them a seat to have a good view of what’s going on. The idea of them buying a ticket is just still ridiculous to me. I don’t even buy them getting in because they are a paying customer. If some fan was banned from a WWE arena but showed up with a ticket, security wouldn’t be like “Well damn. Nothing we can do to keep you out. You paid for a ticket.” They’d throw that person right out on the street.

It bothered me that John Cena managed to get floor seats so close to Mania from a kayfabe standpoint but I’m just gonna go ahead and believe he paid ridiculous scalper prices for it lol
