After today, still have a lost of interest? Yes, speaking as someone who primarily collects Flashbacks and is looking for fresh faces. Im convinced you didn't see the panel. Fresh Faces for flashbacks ... Bob Backlund, Sherri, Mabel Pat Patterson and I'll event count Dude Love haha I'm sure there's going to be more tomorrow.

Today was the day I officially decided to start getting rid of my collection. I've purged a little, but I'm ready to take the step to get rid of nearly everything. Time for my wife and I to upgrade the life we're living.

So here are my thoughts (that no one asked for lol) now that another SDCC is in the books...
While we got a few flashbacks, the quantity just isn’t what it used to be, or at least that’s how it feels to me. As I said in an earlier post in this thread, a lot has to do with the number of legends Mattel has already produced. Still though, I was hoping for more, especially as it relates to new characters (FKA First Time in the Line/FTITL). The ratio of flashback-to-modern characters seems to have dipped significantly since 2014. Although Mattel has made a ton of great legends, there’s plenty more to be made. I’d rather see more FTITL characters than repaints or alternate versions of legends we already have, with a few exceptions (e.g. RR91 Savage, perm Rick Rude, Hulk Rules/Python Power/Hulkster Rules Hogan).
With that said, I am pumped for two of my biggest wants and two of the line’s biggest omissions to date in Backlund and Mabel. Beyond that though, it looks like another 6 months - a year of my purchases being reduced. Some of the current (read: non-flashback) stuff looks awesome though and even though I don’t collect it, I’d have killed for this stuff when I was a kid!

Feeling very much the same as the last 2 posts, disappointed there aren't more new Golden Era flashbacks forthcoming but also understand that this concussion lawsuit could mean it's years before will fill certain holes from that era. I sometimes do feel like selling up but then I do enjoy my collection and making customs, think I'd live to regret it if I sold up

The lack of flashbacks/legends affords me the opportunity to seek out Hillbilly Jim, George Steele, the first Jim Duggan, Nikolai Volkoff and the new Heenan. Still holding out hope for that WMIII Ricky Steamboat.

Time for my wife and I to upgrade the life we're living. I'm leaning towards doing the same to be honest, albiet focusing on just collecting Marvel Legends and Black Series from Hasbro. At least with them, I don't have to worry about missing out on the figures I'm interested in because they actually make them available to international collectors.

I sometimes do feel like selling up but then I do enjoy my collection and making customs, think I'd live to regret it if I sold up There's hardly anyone in the lawsuit from Golden Age that we don't already have. Here's who is in the suit from that era: RW Animal Snuka Paul Orndorff Kamala Hebners King Kong Bundy Ken Patera Demolition Berzerker Marty Jannetty Powers of Pain Slick One Man Gang Jim Powers Ron Bass Jim Brunzell Koko B Ware (not in the original list but per Bill he's on it) So from that list we dont have either Hebner which wouldnt be made regardless. Ken Patera who likely wouldn't get made. Powers of Pain theres a good chance we'd get them after they made singles Barbarian. Slick probably wouldn't get made since we've yet to get more iconic managers like Captian Lou, Fuji, and Blassie. One Man Gang is likely. Jim Powers will never happen. I don't see Ron Bass ever getting made. Koko is probably a guarantee if he's ever available to be made. Killer Bees are possible but also very doubtful. So to summarize, the only people the lawsuit is realistically preventing from the Golden Age that we don't already have are Koko, One Man Gang, Barbarian, and Powers of Pain.

After SDCC I don't feel any different. I mostly collect flashbacks and maybe the odd current figure of aj styles but for the most part all the new stuff at sdcc was current.
The flashbacks they announced were okay but it's the attitude era I'm looking for and the triple h I already have blows that one out the water.
The outlaws are nice and I'll probably pick them up but Patterson and backlund etc don't do much for me.
Flashback 2000 edge and Christian and the hardys are 2 of my biggest wants.

I've slowed down to mostly just buying Flashbacks, so it's been very slow. I picked up RetroFest Savage yesterday, I think the last before that was WM9 Brutus Beefcake. I always check the pegs but there hasn't been much to look at. Monsters and the Dolls really clogged Target up, and new product has been slow to arrive.

So I was thinking a few weeks ago that I was losing interest. But after SDCC and a few recent purchases (Retrofest HBK/Macho, E59 Angle, E60 Elias, SS Matt Hardy, Attitude Era Austin Elite) I’m back in full swing. Stoked about a bunch of SDCC stuff like Warrior, Sting, Backlund, Undisputed Era 3 pack, Sherri, Hacksaw Retrofest, and some others. Looking forward to picking this stuff throughout the next year. Even excited to be getting my Shark Elite today!!!!!

Still holding out hope for that WMIII Ricky Steamboat. We seriously need a new Nikolai Volkoff. He was a big name from the golden era, the only one we have is from like 8 years ago in an exclusive two pack. We have three iron Sheiks and two cowboy Bob Orton’s but only 1 Nikolai?

At first I did not like the facial expression but it has grown on me and its actually taken from a real promo pic of Volkoff. I wish they had included the read turtle neck instead of the jacket but it is what it is.

I havent lost interest but Im tired of wasting my money. When the Legends line was out Bill said, and I quote "If you want Legends to continue then you need to keep buying"...So I bought Legends, then when Flashbacks came out I bought guys I had no desire for. I bought Edge, Christian, King Booker, Boogeyman, Guerrero etc...No desire to own them but just had hopes that if I bought them Id eventually get the guys I want. However the further we get into the line the less Im getting of the guys I want and most of the guys from the era I want we're getting are repaints. If you're a Warrior or Macho fan its cool but I literally dont need 43 of each guy.
So Ill continue to buy Backlund, Sherri and Patterson but no more Hardy Boys, Edge, or any of those types of guys for me. If it doesnt fall between 1987-1992, it doesnt get bought.
