Fine. I'll be the one strand of positivity in all of this. RAW is the only TV product right now that has more lows than it does highs. I think SmackDown, 205 and NXT are currently some of the most consistent shows ever broadcasted under the WWE umbrella. Both the male and female rosters are the most talented in history and have so much to offer for not just the present, but much of the future as well. There's just so much to look forward to, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a fan in this era. I like to hear that. I wasn’t trying to much to be negative, actually the opposite. I want to be excited and glad that you are still able to get that out of the company. Just trying to gauge the morale here. When I was younger I’d alway ask myself if I’d ever not be just completely enthralled with WWE and I never saw myself not being enthralled by it. And now that I’m not, I just wanted to see if maybe it were me growing out of WWE, or if some of the blame landed on them. How do I explain it... basically I wonder if I were at the height of my fandom again now, would I be completely engaged, or would it not click with me. I'm obviously in the minority here but I think the talent and NXT in particular is at an all-time high. That's me being honest, so before anyone says it, I'm not "kissing WWE's ass" that's just how I feel.

From a personal standpoint, I think the last full episode of RAW or SmackDown that I watched was when Daniel Bryan was officially cleared, and I can't even tell you the last PPV I watched. I'll only really put it on every now and then to see Bryan back in the ring. Ever since I started getting AXSTV, I've been way more into watching any NJPW shows whenever they're on there. That's really how I get my wrestling fix now if I need to. To me, I'd rather watch a 30+ minute Kenny Omega match than just about anything the WWE has to offer. The only guys in the WWE who I really care to watch are Ambrose, AJ and Daniel Bryan. I have absolutely zero desire to sit through a program where the sole focus is Roman Reigns.
I personally think it's the worst. I know people will say the early and mid 90s was the low point, but I'd much rather watch any episode of RAW from back then than a full show from today.

No I don’t think it is. You and I may not like it as much as in the past, but there’s tons of new young fans who love it.

There were just as many complaints on the internet five years ago, and ten years ago, and fifteen years ago. The negativity has been around since everyone got broadband.

In all honesty it has gone downhill since the brand split returned. 2013/2016 was the greatest period of the modern era.

I preface this with the statement I am not calling for the Attitude Days. They are writing for children. When is the last time you saw a children's movie that didn't make you go "WTH am I watching?" Simplistic yet ridiculous storylines are going to be a part of it. It won't hold the attention of an adult because it's not meant for adults. People think PG is for Young Teens and above. It's literally for kids under the age of 14. This is why this joke below was hilarious back in 1995 (when I was turning 10) and hilarious to Homer who has the childlike amazement of a 10 year old. WWE literally made a storyline over a man getting hit in the groin. It most likely went over well among the 10 year olds. The writing is fine for the rating it panders to.

Like someone else said, it’s all manufactured today and it’s been like this since around 2005.
No longer do the fans have input into who gets pushed and who doesn’t.
Performers can no longer create their own promos, instead having to cut the same vanilla promo that everyone else does. We’ll never get another “Austin 3:16” promo.
The Raw and SDL sets are EXACTLY the same.
We get the same forgetful stories played out over and over with little to no risks ever taken.
I honestly haven’t watched a full episode of Raw or SDL since WM and feel like I can jump back in without missing a beat. I usually read Raw recaps the next day and will catch the second half of SDL and feel like I’ve had my fill.

I'm not trying to be funny here, but you clearly contradict yourself. You say like most others on here it's went downhill. Right? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but you then say that it's target audience is children. I don't understand how you can criticise the product if you believe that... A) It's appealing to it's target market. (Children) So MOSTLY kids enjoy it. B) You know that it's aimed at children but then complain that it SUCKS and doesn't appeal to YOU. Well unless your 14 and under then it will indeed SUCK (in your opinion), if that's the age range it's primarily aimed at...kids. I personally do not believe current WWE sucks and I think that honestly without being a douche about it, they have amazing talent across the rosters. It may be an unpopular opinion but it's what I believe. I also don't think it's solely aimed at kids. For instance 'you and I' watch it, so I really can't get my head around the negativity.

Fans have always been whiney yet they still watch the show. Even the seldom few who have given up don't make a difference to the shows booking or anything.

I haven’t watched a entire Raw or Smackdown in probably 7years, maybe longer. I’m not really fan of it anymore. I’ll watch maybe 5-10mins if I’m home and channel flipping. However I do listen to Steve Austin’s, Jericho’s, and some of JR’s podcast.

Do they appeal to their target audience? Yeah, but that audience could be so much bigger. There are plenty of shows out there that appeal to both kids and adults, and there’s no reason besides laziness and/or incompetence that the writers can’t write something like that. WWE could easily have a much larger audience if they realize that with a little effort they could appeal to both. Take a story like the Shield breakup and the following Ambrose/Rollins storyline. Kids AND adults can enjoy stuff like that. Most of the feuds today end up in a 50/50 scenario where nobody really wins and it ends up being all for nothing. I hate the fact that you can see everything coming from a mile away. There’s nothing like Mankind becoming champion or Austin’s heel turn anymore except for the aforementioned Shield breakup. My point is that there are ways to attract and sustain a much larger audience than they currently do, and they CHOOSE not to for no good reason.

I'd say it was worse around 2008 - 2010.
