I agree, the face likeness looks good, it’s the hair that’s the problem (style & color). E19/lost legends/basic BP 33/RSC exclusive head I’ve never liked. I don’t see the face likeness. It has the deer in the headlights look.
The WM 12 & WM 14 are the (IMO) best looking face likeness.

And I have to be that “Other” guy...you do know Jakks and Mattel both used Gentle Giant Studios for their scanning. And both use many of the same sculptors. So I don’t see how you can say one company’s scans/sculpts are better than the other. I will say many of Jakks had a better use of the paint application and or colors. PJ, I was actually thinking about you when writing my comment since you've mentioned it awhile back when I was active on here. It is a fun fact! What I did mean is under JAKKS, HBK scans were on point.

I will mention I thought E19 didn't look anything like him until I seen the reference pic from the DX IYH poster. It looks like him in that angle but I still don't like it haha

I have the figure and have also repainted it. It’s one of those weird situations where it looks like hbk from one angle, but overall is a weak likeness similar to the elite 19. The elite 19 being the better likeness out of the two. I’m not sure how to explain but something is off about the scan, I personally believe his forehead is too boxy... Im in the same boat of "it doesnt look like HBK at all" Id like to know what angle is that to get a likeness off him, maybe by posing him facing to a wall.

Its not perfect, but with a little painting and fixing the hairline, it’s actually not as bad as I originally thought.

To be fair, they didn't get the license until fifteen years after SummerSlam 95, so the fact that they managed to time travel back that far and scan his head is an achievement in itself, no wonder the data wasn't perfect on it.

Using the RSC HBK would have been better. And possibly a bit more accurate. Honestly, I'm more annoyed about the tall kickpads. I think 8 years is long enough to not retool HBK.
