I was just wondering how you all actually feel about the whole David Beckham/LA Galaxy thing. Here in England, it has had massive hype and whatnot, and I assume you all shared the same hate for Victoria Beckham: Coming To America, which was cringe worthy.
So to MLS fans and just Americans generally, what is your take on it? Will it make you watch MLS, just like this whole thing is meant to do? (Beckham drawing in fans to MLS) Do you even care? ;[
Sorry if there's been a different thread or whatever.

Well, I don't watch soccer, so I can't say I am that interested. He won't make me watch something I wasn't interested in already, especially as most say he is not nearly the player he was.

Yeah, we aren't big soccer guys here, so the only people it'll interest are people who were already soccer fans, or on the fence about soccer in the first place. And here in this state, the only time I hear his name mentioned is in passing on some local radio sports program or something.

I'll be excited to see him live. I'm a marginal fan, nothing too big. In fact, the only reason I go to games is because I actually work at Robertson Stadium where the Dynamo play. I'll still be psyched to see him in action, though.

i watched about 15 minutes of that victoria beckham show...ugh... americans don't like soccer, and not even the power of david beckhams overall dreaminess can change that. it's just soooooo boring.

If I got a soccer channel, I'd watch him play. I loved Victoria Beckham: Coming to America.
They are getting big hype here. And I'm glad.

Ive never considered soccer to be a sport, nor will I ever. That's just absolutely stupid. In any case, I still think the MLS sucks, although soccer is pretty tight.

I know you don't care, different continents, different sport, Beckham just though he could make football in the states popular straight away, when it's clear that Americans like Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, NFL etc.
