I was just at Target and decided it was time to preorder this years Madden and they told me they don’t do preorders anymore. That just sucks. With TRU closed and Target n
no longer doing preorders it looks like now my only option is Game Stop.

Best Buy and Amazon take preorders. If you’re a prime member, you save 20% on Amazon.

You know I like an actual disc. I went to Game Stop and preordered madden 19 and the wwe2k19 after leaving Target. Madden was a pain though. First it was “Do I want the regular or the special edition?” So my reply was “What’s the price difference and what does it get me?” His reply “the special is $20 more and you get to pick 1 HOF Legend, two elite players, and Elite Player from your favorite team, two custom uniforms and get to play 2 days earlier.” So I say “OK I’ll get the deluxe.” Knowing that will probably be an argument with Andrea at a future date. lol But then he asked me “well do you want the Special standard edition for $90 or the Collector’s special deluxe edition for $120?” WtF! I just want to play some games as my Raiders! lol Anyway I just got the standard Special edition. Because anymore that $80 just isn’t worth the argument and I was scared if I picked the higher end game he would have asked me if O wanted the standard version of the Collector’s deluxe edition of the Deluxe collector’s Deluxe edition. I thought it would be a never ending loop. Whatever happened to the good old days where there was just one version. lol |

PJ This extra special edition nonsense is going too far. I found out it happened to MVCI too. It seems like a scheme to get you ti pay more for full content, under the guise of extra collectible statues and artwork and such. I miss simpler times when you just bought the game, didn't have to install it, loaded up and played.

The whole money-grabbing schemes behind pre-ordering as of recent has made me barely buy games anymore. The only games I play at the moment are either free, a gift from my PlayStation Plus membership, or an installment in a series that dates back to my childhood. |

That's odd. I was gonna try to pre order it at my store around Wed-Fri. They typically have those little cards. I'll find out more info for sure

I mean, with the deals you get from Amazon and Best Buy...unless you have any true exclusives that won't be made available later for purchase with microtransactions, I'm not surprised.
