So Mattel briefly brought up an Ultimate line with msrp of $35. Are these going to be different sculpts? Aimed at collectors? I read there will be more soft goods but I guess we have to wait for more info?

Even though it’s not part of the line, they used the Wrestlemania Axxess Asuka as what they’ll be like. So basically a figure with soft goods, titles, and different heads/hands/masks, etc.

Went back and watched the first half of Action Figure Attack 's Instagram Live video (second half recap quoted below with new edits). Here is what was said: Asuka robe is cloth goods on new figure; not a part of Ultimate Edition line, but a taste of what may be to come with those figures Asuka is not a WM Axxess exclusive; it will be available first to market at WM Axxess then later to the public/on WWE Shop According to Chicago 's rundown of Action Figure Attack Steve's Instagram Q&A, while the upcoming Axxess Asuka isn't a part of the Ultimate Edition line, it will be a taste of what's to come with the figures. She's overloaded with accessories, including an entrance robe, a crown, 3 masks and the NXT Women's Championship, so I can't wait to see what they release in the UE line.

Just as long as it's not a different scale than the regular elites, I'm down for high end accessories with elite figures

i would assume its like the Ultimate lines that other toylines do.
where it would be a figure. With a bunch of accessories & interchangeable heads/hands etc. So u can get multiple looks from one figure.
So probably a couple regular hands. Then some unique character specific hands. Then heads with different expressions or hair? And unlike other toylines....shirts are a big thing. So they could toss in a couple different shirt designs.
Something like an Ultimate John Cena would make sense. Especially since he wore the same shorts a lot, and we missed like dozens of his shirts. And they could toss in matching armbands and hats for each shirt

I definitely expect they'll release an Ultimate Edition Cena and Hollywood will also likely end up in this line if they release him.
I could also see them release a Brock with cloth shirt, cloth track pants, interchangeable heads (normal/screaming), interchangeable hands (gloves/no gloves) and the Universal Championship.

I guarantee whatever it is and no matter how much articulation they have and many accessories they’ll have the same board members will still complain they are priced to high.

I think we will get more points of articulation. Girls will get wrist hinges and the guys will get double jointed elbows. Everyone will get ankle pivot! Plus all that soft goods stuff.

I think I’m remember someone on the SDCC coverage thread saying that they heard it’s going to replace both entrance great and defining moments. I forget what page I saw it on. Please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Thinking about it, this Ultimate Edition line is reminding me of the NECA Ultimate line which typically has a fancy box and packed with accessories. If this is anything like that at about the same price point, I say we're in for a treat.

I'm not sure about all the confusion on here about this ... it just seems like the latest "premium" offering. There was Entrance Greats, then Defining Moments ... then Defining Moments and Entrance Greats again, lol. Now the Ultimate line. Looks like they'll load it up with some more accessories this time around.

So hopefully they learn from DM & EG that spending money on music stands and fancy boxes is a waste. I don’t need 24k gold packaging. Just make the boxes exactly like the current elite boxes, but a little wider and taller to fit in more accessories, and use gold and silver coloring instead of white and red
