Same thing happened to my RSC Nash. As soon as I opened the box his leg fell off.

I have a heap of figures still in box and now am starting to dread the time when it comes to open them. I know mass market figures are likely to have faults but it still kicks you in the guts when it happens.

How on earth did you manage to twist the leg off a figure. You gently test the limbs, if they're stuck. Simply put it in boiling water or opposite, and put it in cold water and slowly and carefully work the joint. Don't just rotate the limb! Doubt Mattel would put in a figure with a separate leg. Unless it's a BAF. Then if this did, it shouldn't have, and I'm sorry as it wasn't cheap.

That sucks. Pulled it out of the plastic, leg fell off Definately should not happen. A stuck limb is one thing but to be broken straight out of the packaging is just wrong. Clearly that was a stuck limb that the stem snapped on while either forcing it into or out of the blister.

sucks to have anything you pay for break like that. i personally wouldn't pay $28 for a mattel figure but i also think when ppl say a figure that costs $20 shouldn't break out of the package are totally correct i dont think $20 is alot of money. these are not high end figures they are more lower mid range.

I have to disagree with that statement. It’s a mass produced toy and just like anything that’s mass produced of course there’s going to be Q/C issues such as breakage like that from time to time that they miss. It’s expected that’s why companies offer vouchers/replacements when there’s Q/C issues like this that are missed and find their way to the consumer.

WWE creative to Elias: “ok your figure is out, it’s shipping. Wear the black jeans one more week to remind them you wore it. After that, switch up jeans color and start wearing brown shoes from here forward. Change something so that you have a slightly new look, and we can make them buy another figure”

The "It's only $20" argument annoys me, in fact I've raised this before, I got pretty mad a few years ago when someone asked Bill about the quality control in a Q&A and his response was effectively "It's a $20 figure, it's not like it's a $200 Hot Toy"
You're right, it's not a high end, premium collectible, I accept that, and I accept that here and there there's gonna be flaws. However, an Elite in the UK is £20. I go to work for 35 hours a week so I can maintain my car, pay my mortgage, feed myself, all the other stuff. With what's left over, I like to treat myself to some kids toys, but if I'm gonna choose to invest my leftover money in something, I don't think it's completely unreasonable to expect an action figure to come with limbs that can move without falling off, to come with two eyebrows as God intended, to be able to stand up like a normal human being, to not have paint all over the shop like they work as a coal miner
Is it really too much to ask? Notice how you don't have to worry about this crap when you go to HMV and buy a new DVD. Gets home, finds the DVD smashed into 8 pieces and the case is filled with asbestos. Oh well, I guess this wouldn't have happened if I'd splashed out on the 4K ultra HD Blu Ray steelbook edition...

Clearly that was a stuck limb that the stem snapped on while either forcing it into or out of the blister. It wasn’t like just hanging loose in the package, I opened it & pulled it out of blister & it fell off....I have 2 other Elias Elites, both of them his left leg is mad stiff & doesn’t want to be bent up. Same thing with both my Epic Moments Jeff Hardy. They remind me of the very first few series of elites, where you almost hear or feel a click as you try to move them.

Well I doubt it would hang loose in the package because the blister and inside of the lower torso would hold it in place until you pulled the figure out.
