He should be pushed to the top on the blue brand as the #1 heel and with the current roster as is should be the guy to take the title from Styles. With the current mix of heels on Smackdown he's the most fresh, youngest and most interesting of the lot.Orton & Joe are past their primes and in the case of Orton everything has been done with his character two or three times over as a face or heel. Then you have Miz who's great but 37 now and has been booked to long as a mid to upper mid card after his WWE Title reign.Almas should clearly be the guy going forward. Blasphemous, Samoa Joe is one of the most complete performers in the ring and on the mic, storytelling wise and with a great ability to portray different facets of his character. Dude has another decade easy of being at or near the top.

I feel like I need to watch more Smackdown because I have no idea who he is. I’m out of the loop with everything except raw and it’s really showing Hes just Alberto Del Rio Mysterio Jr the 13th with an a+ manager. You're not missing much. And much more passion for what he does and a lot less dickishness. He isn't an absolute coked out psychopath like ADR.

Please, don't lie to the man if he hasn't watched the product. The only reason you compare him to either of those two is because he's Mexican, I assume, which seems pretty goddamn racist, if you ask me. Man's neither a masked luchadore nor is he playing a rich pompous douche (who nearly ruined Paige's career and life behind the scenes). He was formerly La Sombra in CMLL and New Japan, even won the IWGP Intercontinental Championship and was an OG member of Los Ingobernables when Naito was on excursion in Mexico, then lost his mask before he went to NXT and floundered as a babyface before turning heel on Cedric on some random ass episode of NXT and gaining Zelina Vega as his manager a few months down the line. He still was kind of meh for a while but they ran a sort of losing streak turned redemption angle with him. Then he had a coming out party with his performance when he won the NXT Championship from McIntyre at Takeover: War Games, made me a fan for sure. Then proving the win wasn't a fluke by putting on an incredible match with Johnny Gargano at Takeover: Philadelphia before losing the title to Aleister Black at Takeover: New Orleans in another great performance.

Not a huge fan of his, he needs to update his attire a bit. Plain white tights looks lame.

I like Almas but feel that he needs to be built up in front of the crowd a bit before a main event push. He’s great in the ring but I feel that he has work to do as a character. Vega is great as a manager but he needs to talk alittle more imo.
Too bad Nak is the US Champ as I feel that Almas would be far better in that mid-card champ position right now.

I think that by utilizing Vega, Almas can be a great top heel in this company for a long, long time.

He's a great worker and since adding Zelina Vega he's been on fire.

Over Joe? He'd better not be. Vega seems to be his entire personality... he doesn't appear to have one of his own, from what I've seen.

This is great to hear, and I hope it comes true.
I saw him as Manny Andrade during an NXT house show tour before he debuted on TV. Was super impressed with him that night, which I believe was against Oney Lorcan. Obviously his babyface run didn’t go too well when he did debut, but since turning heel and adding Zelina it has been so good for him. He can be a huge star.

He’s an awesome in-ring performer. Not much to him personality wise, but pairing him with Zelina Vega was the best thing they could have done for him. It totally boosted him to the next level.

I like him. And I like his manager a lot. He has a pretty strong presence, confident and solid in the ring.
