BIG VAN VADER: WCW debut gear with red lightning bolts /full mask/mastodon helmet (OR his NJPW gear FULLBODY SUIT WITH RED LIGHTNING & Mask w/ mastodon helmet for entrance) VS ANTONI O INOKI: Wearing his traditional black trunks/black boots W/possibly a robe or coat/towel entrance gear. (think of the belts that could work with this too... a New Japan "knockoff" belt. or a WCW related one...possibly)

I feel "WWE" dropped the ball with this monster.... A legitimate legend!(legitimate HOFer too damnit) The first "big man" to do a moonsault (450lbs+)... his strong style was soooo over everywhere else in the world! This man, along with Sting, saved professional wrestling for me, as a kid. I was NOT allowed to watch wwf, after my strict stepfather made a heinous rule, stating that I could not watch wwf (for whatever stupid reason)... I was forced to watch WCW, coincidentally the show HE preferred. lol. (until i was a little older during the monday night wars... at that point, I watched both companies. wrestling 24/7. lol ) Not being able to see my hero Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Macho Man -at the time I was banned from watching wwf... -I relied heavily on the Stinger...Woo!!!..... and then Vader showed up ... A Believable as F***, Monster!!! Changed everything in my books Vader vs The World. R.I.P. To Monster of the Rocky Mountains.... BIG VAN VADERRRRRR!!!!!

Sting, Vader and early 90s WCW saved pro wrestling for me as well when the WWF was stinking things up with the New Generation. Actually another person who was not a fan of the New Gen era. Thought I was the only one lol Yeah. -I don't really know what to say or think about the "New Generation" other than the fact; they had a couple of amazing talents "under contract" (Hands down: THE best developed character to come out of "New Generation" -was the demented version of MANKIND! -Thanks to Mrs. Foley's baby boy... However, I had already seen that character in some form, in WCW.) -but seriously, the roster at that point in the WWF -was hokey as hell, with super gimmicky characters! EG: "a garbage man" that wrestles, a "repo man" that wrestles, a "hockey player/goon" that happens to wrestle too" <---- That kind of thing hurt the brand, in my opinion. lol. -I cannot explain how much I loved & appreciated WCW. -Words cannot express how important that company was "as a whole" to the industry! (thanks to the NWA) It had a sense of realism... -WWF had hokey cartoony characters/storylines. -WCW had gritty realistic characters/storylines. (yes both companies had a bit of both attributes -I'm just speaking of the majority of talent at said time.) -even in the "wrasslin days" of "dubbya cee dubbya" (folks can make fun all they want) it was a bunch of tough guys brawling! Entertaining as f***. lol. VADER and STING started my love for that company. Also, WCW started working with NJPW/AJW and AAA/CMLL to create what would become one of the greatest rosters/divisions on the planet. *Hulk Hogan jumping ship followed by other major stars: *Macho Man, *Lex Luger, *Scott Hall and *Kevin Nash...etc...etc... WCW was also, the first company to show the world, before the internet became a big thing -that there was a major war in professional wrestling being fought worldwide......................... and then there was Vince......Russo............................argh. I MISS THOSE DAYS..... (NITRO AND THUNDER sound WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY BETTER THAN "RAW AND SMACKDOWN") ***NJPW today -kinda has a lot of that same spirit WCW had, back in the day... it really feels like WCW... which makes me thankful and extremely happy, to be able to watch another war starting End of Novel. For now..... LOL.

Thought I was the only one lol I’m not a fan of the era as I tuned out for a good portion of it but I am a fan of the characters it produced just because of how ridiculous they were. It’s definitely the best era to produce unique colorful action figures.

The 80's/90's being very colourful eras... It was enjoyable as hell (like a circus, wrestling had something for everybody) I was still not a fan of certain undercard "over the top" gimmicky characters. (neither was the office -because they remained undercard for their entire careers. Typecast of sorts.) The main event players of both companies obviously being the most endearing of any/all eras. (As far as gimmicks: I enjoyed Bossman -who "had a career outside of wrestling" but i didn't like Duke the Dumpster Droese -who "had a career outside of wrestling" or "The Goon" -who also "had a career outside of wrestling".. I liked Doink the clown who was gimmicky as hell... pretty much, hit or miss with characters... -Mankind was still the best "character" to come out of that era of WWF.. (+++ Razor and Diesel. lol.)

I heard a rumour about mattel acquiring the license of Vader with future plans in mind - I have looked high and low to verify this but cant find anything... Is there any truth to the rumour? (wrestlingdaze on youtube also mentioned it)
