The Rock's "real, real, real" name is whatever is listed on his birth certificate, etc.
To that end, the two links you provided completely discredit whatever point you're trying to make here:
So, no - his true, real name is Dwayne Johnson.
Personally, I prefer to call him Rock "The Dwayne" Johnson.

He changed it for pronounciation purposes. It literally translates to McLoving. My real real name would have been Rob McLoving.

I have no idea what to do with this fantastic new information. So I guess I'll just do nothing. I'm talking about something deeper than a simple piece of paper. This situation is comparable to that of Mr. Bob Dylan and his son - the folk legend legally changed his name from the Judaic Robert Zimmerman to Bob Dylan before his son Jakob was born in 1969. Thus, the lead singer of The Wallflowers was never Jakob Zimmerman - but come on, we know that IS his real name. That's the family's name and Bob and Jake should be proud of it. I just wish The Rock would at least acknowledge Bowles and mention it in interviews. Is it talked about in his 1999 autobiography?

Who among us is in any sort of place to tell others how they should or shouldn't revere their familial heritage? You're asking complete strangers to adhere to a name that they have never, in all their lives, gone by.

They weren’t given those last names on their birth certificates and not on anything government related. The only ties they have to that name is that some of their relative have that name and their dad’s used to go by those last names but not the kids.

The issue just hits close to home folks. My last name is the common Jewish surname of Cohen - back in the days tons of Jews changed their "ethnic" last name to appease American audiences. Rodney Dangerfield, Mama Cass of Mamas and Papas, and Howard Cosell were all Cohens. I like for people to go by their real last names. Not sure why Wayde Bowles became Rocky Johnson, maybe just because Johnson "sounded cooler," but why can't we go by the names were given at birth? Why can't we be proud of who we are?

A lot of entertainers changed their names to make them easier to remember, sound less ethnic, or simply because Max Power sounds cooler than Homer Simpson. I feel like you're looking way too deeply. He's Dwayne Johnson. That's pretty much it.

I think there's a huge, huge leap from Dwayne Johnson, who, other than in the confines of show business, has never been known by any other name other than Dwayne Johnson, not choosing to go by Dwayne Bowles and some deep rooted shame over this name that he, again, has never gone by a day in his life. That's some hardcore grade projection.

You're also looking at people who changed their ethnic sounding names in a time when it was much better for their careers to not sound as ethnic. Nowadays, nobody would bat an eye at listening to the folk stylings of Robert Zimmerman, but back then Bob Dylan looked better on the marquee. You want him to change it back now?

Story Time Nobody Asked For, with marino13... The last name put on my birth certificate and that I've gone by for 40 years shouldn't really be my last name. My mother was single and pregnant. And her step-father was going to adopt her legally and she planned to change her last name to his. So she went ahead and put his last name as my last name to avoid the hassle of doing in through the courts later. They never got around to her legal adoption. So here I am, the last one surviving, never met my biological father, and I have a last name that I wouldn't change it for the world.
Ha-ha... now you have information you didn't care to know.
