Stone Cold did it twice DDP did it Warrior did it Chyna did it
And many more. Sometimes your "family name" sucks and you don't want it. If it wasn't for my close relationship with my own father I'd change mine. Who wants to be a Smith? Literally the most generic last name up there with Johnson and Miller lol but it's MY Fathers name and so therefore it is mine to pass on.

I would personally prefer that he went by Flex Kavana...
Seriously though, his name isn’t Bowles unless he was ever legally recognized by that name. Here’s another one for you. Dana Warrior and her kids aren’t Hellwigs. They’re Warriors because the legal documentation reads “Warrior”.
Also, way back in like medieval times, wasn’t your last name determined by whoever’s land you lived on? So basically you had thousands of people in one area with the same last names.
My dad’s family changed they’re last names in Italy a long long time ago. Originally, people’s last names in his area were determined by what the family did for a living. So his family’s last name was like the Italian term for sheepherder. Eventually, the people in the area divided into smaller estates and their last names were just the estate names. And oddly enough, still today, the main road that runs through each estate is named after the family that lives there. It’s like “So and So Street”.

A lot of surnames were derived from who you were the son of, where you lived, or what job you did.

My grandparents raised me, my grand dad is really a step grand dad. I have his last name and wouldn't change it for the world.
I'm grateful for that and the fact that we have a real life McLoving on the WFigs boards.

The Rock's "real, real, real" name is whatever is listed on his birth certificate, etc. To that end, the two links you provided completely discredit whatever point you're trying to make here: So, no - his true, real name is Dwayne Johnson. Personally, I prefer to call him Rock "The Dwayne" Johnson. I wish it worked like that. Prior to my birth, my dad's last name was MacIrog. It's Tagalog (Filipino heritage). He changed it for pronounciation purposes. It literally translates to McLoving. My real real name would have been Rob McLoving.

When my great grand parents came over from Ireland, the had their name changed from O'Fergus to Ferguson. I was never ashamed of them for it the way you're sort of ashamed of someone you will never meet for doing something that has nothing to do with any of us.

The people at Ellis island shortened my grandfather's Italian last name because they were too lazy. So my name must not count. Lol. His name is Johnson. It is the name his father chose before he was even born.

Though this never really made sense to begin with, I assume this hasn't gone as the op expected. And at this point it has little to nothing to do with WWE. So I'm gonna lock her up. If a mod from another board would like to have it, they can send their check or money-order to...
