The journey here has been incredibly long but soon I'll finally hold in my hands a Seth Rollins figure with a portrait that looks like the man for once.
These new Elites look terrific and the true FX faces finally seem to be caught up to the level of Hasbro with Star Wars Black and Marvel Legends.

Some really killer figures coming out soon. I’ve already preordered the Undisputed Era and can’t wait to get Bob Backlund, Road Dog Jesse James, Aleister Black, and possibly the Authors of Pain.

I don't think it has to be an either/or situation. Bill said the figure was in E63. AFA said it would be exclusive to WalMart. And considering the "wait and see" comment I think it's safe to assume this will be something new/different (ie not Flashback wave 4 or something else that we're familiar with). It could be a solid packed figure that releases alongside E63 that is exclusive to Walmart, or a figure that is included in the case assortments for Walmart cases only. Both guys are heavily involved with the product and both are pretty avid wrestling fans, so I don't have any reason to not believe what they're saying. Personally, I like that Mattel is exploring different release methods to get figures that may not fly off the pegs into collector's hands. I know some people didn't like it, but back in the day of DCUC Mattel released a few Waves as Walmart exclusives. I liked it just because I knew if I went to Walmart I would find Wave five but if I went to another store they would have a different wave. Can you imagine how mental people would be going if Mattel came out and was like "Alright guys we took a vote and Elite 77 is a Walmart exclusive wave". I'm sure Mattel isn't doing this with an entire line but the idea of a single figure like that being exclusive, I'm for it. I hated that because we have 5 WalMarts I go to regularly and none of them carried DCUC after series 2(?) the wave with Wonder Woman. I had to have a friend in Buffalo pick up Series 5 and 10(?) I think that was the other WalMart Exclusive wave because none of my local WalMarts carried it and even when a couple of the store managers tried to order the DCUC line the orders would be denied by the distribution center.

I'm sure Mattel isn't doing this with an entire line but the idea of a single figure like that being exclusive, I'm for it. It's all speculation at this point (but isn't that half the fun?). But I feel like McFarlane did something similar with their sports figures, where some figures were only available in certain assortments. Going back farther, Kenner's Starting Lineup figures had regional assortments for were different from market to market. So it's not totally unheard of. I could see Backlund being "exclusive" to Walmart's E63 assortment. I don't think we'd see full exclusive waves in the "main" Elite line, simply because what distribution you're talking about is basically already covered by the store exclusive spinoff lines (Flashback, HOC, NXT). Anything that creates extra slots for more figures to be made is a positive in my book.

Also I am not saying mistakes don’t happen, but why would Amazon list Backlund as a fulfilled through Amazon if it’s a WalMart Exclusive?

Why can't Mattel do purple right?

What attire is Itami in?
Looking at the figure and when he was in NXT, he had the yellow and black kickpad when he wore that jacket.

If Backlund is some sort of chase in the main line I will be beyond disappointed. People have been asking for Backlund for years I really hope he isn't hard to obtain. Is there some slight chance Bill said Elite 63 by mistake and maybe he is replacing someone in E65? AFA says Wal-mart exclusive? But Amazon has the pre-order? Ughhh. Remember when MDT would jump in and settle this stuff? I member.

Why can't Mattel do purple right? One of life’s greatest mysteries I swear to god though if this isn’t asked about in the Ringside Fest Q&A I’m gonna lose my mind

They need poster boards with examples like “Exhibit A: SS98 HHH” “Exhibit B WM3 Macho Man” “Exhibit C EC New Day” “Exhibit D WM19 HHH” “Exhibit E e23 Undertaker” there’s probably more but that was exhausting as it is...

That Rollins scan is incredible. I might just get the one in the flames tights, since it seems these are 2 different figures. Not a fan of the plain black tights he wears most of the time. He usally has really cool gears. Maybe I’ll scoop this up if it comes out first. Great scan

I think that was the other WalMart Exclusive wave because none of my local WalMarts carried it and even when a couple of the store managers tried to order the DCUC line the orders would be denied by the distribution center. Don't forget Wave 14! I never knew that some Walmart stores stopped carrying the line, I just assumed if they had waves dedicated at store exclusives that they would carry them. Three of my favorites came from those three walmart exclusive lines (Riddler Wave Five, Power Girl Wave Ten, and Zatanna Wave 14). It's all speculation at this point ( but isn't that half the fun?). But I feel like McFarlane did something similar with their sports figures, where some figures were only available in certain assortments. It was horrible especially with Series 5 because I am a Batman collector more than anything else so having the black costume Batman, Joker, Man-Bat and Riddler as WalMart Exclusives and not being able to get any of my WalMarts to carry them was very frustrating. How do all WalMarts not carry all the same product or better yet their own exclusives!? But on top of that the DCUC Boxed sets and 2-Packs they did carry, but not the singles waves after series 2.

Purple HHH is a waste IMO. We got a killer Evolution HHH is red...why not make this a RR2000 HHH instead? Strange.
I probably will also pass on Hall...Wasn't a fan of the 2002 nWo at all. Unless we get a black/gold elite Razor? I'm all good for Hall figs now....
