No Madusa is not as niche as Wendi. 1. She was around 10 years later 2. She was on TV & PPV much more consistently 3. She went to Nitro and dumped the belt in the trash Other than dumping the belt in the trash and being one of Macho’s valets, I can’t think of anything significant she accomplished as Madusa. Madusa, Alundra Blayze, same woman. The point is she was on TV (Nitro/Raw) way after Wendi was retired

The point is she was on TV (Nitro/Raw) way after Wendi was retired Wendi was #2 on the first WrestleMania card. Richter had a short run due to Moolah’s politicking but she did make an impact. Blayze may have a had a longer run but Alundra was champ during the lowest point in WWF history. The championship was so meaningless that she threw it in the trash and that was probably the most noteworthy thing she ever did. They’re both niche. Wendi due to only having a short time in the spotlight and Alundra for being underutilized in an era when nobody was watching.

Alundra Blayze is as “niche” as Wendi Richter. Berzerker and Warlord are as “niche” as the Supreme Fighting Machine. No Madusa is not as niche as Wendi. 1. She was around 10 years later 2. She was on TV & PPV much more consistently 3. She went to Nitro and dumped the belt in the trash The peak of their careers were wildly different. Wendi was on MTV and had a TV special built around her chasing the title.... with a massive pop star in her corner. She was in a Saturday morning cartoon series. Longevity aside, Wendi probably had that best peak of any female wrestler of the 80s and 90s. Madusa not got to perform on network television, Wendi was right place at the right time.

Will that be one chase figure for every figure or just one chase figure per set/wave? One per series. I wish it was one per figure but this isn’t McFarline That means that the variants are going to be rare and therefore expensive.

It saddens me to hear how niche Wendi Richter is considered. My favorite era is 84-86, shame some of those characters seem so far out of reach. I don't care for DX and the like. I hear ya, I wonder if Greg Valentine is considered too niche as well?! It would be nice to know if Mattel has no interest in making him or if WWE has no interest in signing him to a deal so Mattel can make a figure of him?! Bill has mentioned that he submits lists of legends he is interested in making and wants WWE to sign- interesting to know if Greg Valentine has made it onto those lists and if he has why WWE doesn't want to sign him to a deal?! He could have been made back at the beginning as part of the legends line then again more recently in the HOF line- 2 prime spots for them to place this 'niche figure', yet nothing.

I’m holding out hope that with all the noise on the forums the last year or so that the Hammer will eventually get made. Hopefully with either the old IC belt or with the old tag belts along with a new Beefcake. The Walmart flashbacks seem to be working and selling quite well so if the line remains strong I could see them easily squeezing a hammer or Wendy Richter figure in that line. Make it a build a figure announcer Monsoon or 80s Vince and I’m sure it would do well at retail.
