Interested to see what figures you guys think is the biggest single omission from each of the following lines....
1 Hasbro 2 Bca 3 Wcw Toybiz 4 Classic Superstars 5 Mattel Elites
Here's mine
1 Diesel (would have looked so good displayed with the final series)
2 Jim Neidhart (We got Bret Owen Bulldog and Pillman for the Hart foundation but no anvil, will we ever get a complete Hart foundation)
3 There's loads I can think of for the toy biz line but if I had to choose one i would of liked to have seen own warrior
4 Road Warrior Animal to match Hawk
5 The biggest want from mattel they have yet to release is hHh attitude era Triple H

The Hasbro line is my line, but I had a few of the other lines so I’ll try to answer fully:
1. For me it was Jerry Lawler. I guess the reason he was missing was that he was mostly a commentator so probably never came-up as an option for the line, but I think he wrestled often enough to justify a figure at some point. I think he debuted in 1992, and wrestled in the run-up to SummerSlam 1993 (against Owen at least that I remember) so was in the timeline of the line, while guys like Diesel, Jeff Jarrett, King of Harts Owen Hart and USA Lex Luger we missed-out on simply because the line ended, but with Lawler they had time to do him but didn’t. Admittedly I would’ve used Lawler mostly as a commentator as it used to drive me crazy not having managers, commentators or referees to go with the line, but I still missed not having him at all.
2. Agree with Anvil - the Hart Foundation figures with the jackets I definitely had MOC because I’m a Hart mark and loved those guys being together (at last) but I definitely missed Anvil not being released with them in that series.
3. I don’t really remember who was in the Toybiz line - I had the first series or two, and couple of random figures after that, so I can’t really answer this one properly.
4. Don’t think I ever had any of these.
5. I saw at SDCC in the amazing display they had that they had Rikishi and Scotty 2 Hotty together but no Grandmaster Sexay. I don’t know the line well enough to know if he’s ever been released before or if there are issues with why he wasn’t there, but his absence really stood-out to me; even more so with what has happened since.

Only collect Hasbro and Mattel, so for Mattel I would have to say Owen Hart and for Hasbro I would say the Hart Foundation - don't really consider Diesel, Owen, and USA Luger from Hasbro an omission since they were supposed to be in the orange card series but the line ended before they could be released.

Biggest omission of all time, any categories is dino bravo. Here in montreal, canada, dino was a god, he was my hero, ted arcidi ljns played the role of dino in my fed for many years. Everytimes i went to a store in the 80s i was wishing to see his figure, still waiting...
I was friend with his nephew during the jakks classic line dayz, i made the connection with jakks and his widow, but jakks lost the licence

Why did the line end so abruptly? I forget the source, but I heard Hasbro wanted out because of the steroid scandal. That's the only reason I've really heard, other than declining sales maybe.

I can only really answer for Hasbro. I've bought figures from other lines in the 90's, but not as much commitment or long term love of those lines to really remember who or who wasn't released. Seemed like Jakks did just about everyone in the BCA line, so I was surprised no Anvil.
Anyway, like a few others said, I don't consider Diesel and others from his era to be omissions since they'd of likely been produced if the line kept on.
#1 guy missing IMO is Hart Foundation Anvil. The Hart Foundation was always one of the top teams from the peak of the golden era, and we never got them.
I could name a ton of others, but Anvil has to be tops.

1. If we're going to ignore guys who would have been made, because Diesel is the obvious answer here for me, I'd say Bobby the Brain Heenan.
2. Hard to argue with Anvil in this spot. Hakushi would have been cool but by the time they got around to him he was gone. There are a handful of guys in that New Gen era who could have landed on either of the Hasbro or BCA list and just kind of got skipped because of the switch. Like Mabel.
3. Sean O'Haire - Those Natural Born Thrillers figures were so close man... I'd also say a proper Big Poppa Pump Scott Steiner and Kronik (also an almost)
4. Owen Hart... if we're talking RA guys who could have been made but got skipped it's Sean O'Haire again for me in this spot. I think it's Macho and Steamboat as the major ones though.
5. Ignoring Owen again, Scott Steiner or Raven

Hasbro - USA lex, double j, Owen in pink or black, diesel, haku and barbarian for me.
BCA - I only got these from 98 onwards in Australia and they had everyone I wanted pretty much. I could never find a Vince from memory.
Toybiz - I didn’t collect.
CS - Macho man.
Elite - Sexay is a big one since we have Scotty and rikishi, but I’d say there’s a few yet. Haku and barbarian I want, Chyna is a huge name, Owen Hart obviously, Double J, Superstar Billy graham, Jesse Ventura and many more.

Never thought about lawler before for hasbro for some reason but yeah he would of fit right in around the latter series of released

Seems like the anvil was quite a few of our biggest omissions from different lines, I said bca but also the Hart foundation should 100% of been made by hasbro. As for diesel I know he was close but he's still not there in my collection so for me still the biggest gap in the collection

Ignoring Owen again, Scott Steiner or Raven I knew Kronik were close as I've seen the protos...I'd pay anything for them and the Booker T but natural born thrillers I never new were close? That would of been amazing. Would have loved lance storm too

Toybiz would maybe be Glacier and Mortis. There was a missed opportunity. Hot angle and cool looking figs.
CS- Proper Golga w/ Cartman and Kurgan from Oddities days. And seriously, ICP.

Mortis would have been badass. Glacier would have been too, but he wasn't nearly as cool.

Mortis would have been badass. Glacier would have been too, but he wasn't nearly as cool. I always liked them equally. Had to have a Reptile to a Sub Zero.

Mortis would have been badass. Glacier would have been too, but he wasn't nearly as cool. I always liked them equally. Had to have a Reptile to a Sub Zero. I've always been drawn to evil characters so I liked Mortis a lot. But Glacier was also the perfect look for an action figure, that's for sure!
