A lot of WWE Superstars put their real name on their social media accounts, so it's not strange to see Xavier Woods put Austin Creed as his name on his accounts. However, it really seems to me like Xavier Woods is only Xavier Woods in front of a WWE camera, but away from WWE cameras, he is 100% Austin Creed. For example, I saw New Day at Axxess during WrestleMania 32 weekend in Dallas, and while Big E & Kofi were wearing the latest New Day shirt, Xavier was wearing his own Up Up Down Down shirt, and not even the one WWE Shop was selling at the time. Now granted, maybe Kofi and Big E don't have outside ventures they've gotten into, but if they did, I'm not seeing anything about it, so it must be that outside. But WWE is what made Xavier, and you would think he'd represent that character more than he does. Unlike someone like Zack Ryder, who when he became Zack Ryder, he has been Zack Ryder 100% of the time no matter what he did, including when he started his own YouTube show. Zack could have started a show about himself personally and not the character, but instead, he chose to do something to be an extension of his character. So my point is, could WWE see this as a sign as someone who is not completely invested in their role within the company and see it as an opportunity if New Day were to ever split and they started to make cuts, could he be the first to go? I think Xavier is very entertaining, but I would imagine WWE sees him as the most expendable of the group if they had to choose. I'd be curious to know if others here have noticed what I've said and what you think about it.

He's the most charismatic of the trio, incredibly talented in the ring and UpUpDownDown is very marketable, so he's probably not going anywhere.

He's smart, and obviously a savvy businessman. He's using the position his current popularity has gained him to cement himself in the minds of current and future fans for if and when his wrestling career ends.

I think he’ll be fine. Never a main-event guy, but he’ll be fine. He’s a solid all-round performer. I don’t see them getting rid of him unless he does something stupid.

I think it's just the opposite... Until the New Day, WWE wasn't doing anything special with him.. and after they split up, I really doubt they would have much for him either... in keeping his real name out there, if WWE ever decides to "future endeavor" him, his name is already out everywhere. I could totally see him in ROH or NJWP as a part of the Bullet club.

The guy is successful on youtube and he's a WWE star, getting 2 paychecks I think the guy will be fine for the long run.

Woods is a smart guy. I think he understands that if New Day splits there’s a very significant chance he could fall down to the bottom of the WWE ladder and eventually be released. Gaming is big right now. UUDD is very marketable and he can still make a living off of that if he builds up a big enough audience. If he’s not in the doghouse with the higher ups because of it, why not promote his outside the ring business ventures?

It's smart to partition himself between his professional activities.

Business 101: Diversify. Don’t put your eggs in one basket. He’s making crazy money now, but setting up multiple income streams is the smartest investment for his future. Jericho is a smart businessman as well, but it took him a lot longer to get the side projects going.

Austin Creed isn’t his real name, it’s another gimmick name.

Austin Creed isn’t his real name, it’s another gimmick name. I just read OP and was thinking "Wait, I thought he took the Creed name as a gimmick back when he was dressing like Apollo?"

if you’d told me while he was in tna that he would return to wwe and lead one of the most successful tag teams of all time, I would’ve doubted it. so who knows what the future holds for him.
